Get more perfo Maximum separation power—90,000 plates in 4 minutes! The low backpressure of the new Poroshell 120 columns lets you couple several columns together in series, achieving highest separation power per time (90,000 plates in 4 minutes). This enables better separation of complex samples, and makes it possible to resolve more compounds than ever before. Higher speed and efficiency for all types of systems

New Agilent Poroshell 120 Columns: higher productivity, lower pressure Agilent’s breakthrough new Poroshell 120 columns, an extension of the Poroshell 300 portfolio, can enhance the productivity of almost any LC application. Operating at 40 –50% less pressure than conventional high resolution columns, they give you the separation efficiency of a sub-2 µm particle—without the need to upgrade to a high-pressure system!

Delivering the efficiency of a 1.8 µm column at lower pressure, Poroshell 120 columns can accommodate different instrument configurations, applications and sample types. Use them with a standard LC system to achieve higher speeds and better resolution. Use them with a high pressure, ultra-fast system to achieve maximum efficiency and resolution—and even faster separations. Better robustness for all types of samples Standard frits and larger pore sizes reduce the risk of column clogging, even with clinical samples or other dirty matrices. We offer multiple choices for outstanding peak shape—an endcapped highly deactivated column and a non-endcapped version in the popular C18 phase.

Agilent ZORBAX 1.8 µm Rapid Resolution HT columns are still the best choice for many ultra-fast, high-throughput applications. For maximum methods flexibility, Agilent offers more than 140 RRHT, 1.8 µm column choices: An inside look at Poroshell 120. The 2.7 µm particle has a solid core (1.7 µm) and porous 0.5 µm outer layer, providing a shorter diffusion path and more efficient mass transfer.

• 14 different column chemistries—13 bonded phases and silica for HILIC • 6 column lengths (150, 100, 75, 50, 30 and 20 mm) • 3 internal diameters (4.6, 3.0 and 2.1 mm ID) • Matching 3.5 µm, 5 µm and 7 µm choices for simple, predictable scale-up and bidirectional methods transfer between conventional HPLC and RRLC

ormance from your current LC system. New detection options: Higher sensitivity, faster detection New Agilent 1200 Series Variable Wavelength Detector SL Plus

3x increase in sensitivity. Redesigned optical components provide highest signal levels and lowest baseline noise.

Agilent 1200 Series LC Method Development Solution The new Agilent 1200 Series method development solution saves hours of lab time by enabling you to determine optimum separation methods without tedious manual column and solvent changing. The highly flexible system—entirely composed of standard Agilent 1200 Series modules—offers customized workflow solutions ideally suited to any LC method development group, and allows you to: • Fully automate your methods development, from modeling through experimental proof—design complex method-scouting campaigns with a few mouse clicks, and screen methods overnight • Automatically select up to eight columns and up to 15 different solvents • Quickly optimize temperature selection with up to 6 independent column temperature zones and thermostatted valves • Extend your method development capabilities with optional 6100 Series quadrupole LC/MS Using two thermostatted column compartments and selection valves, you can combine up to eight columns of up to 100 mm in length, or six columns with a waste port and bypass. Adding a third compartment allows using columns longer than 100 mm.

With sampling rates up to 160 Hz, the new Agilent 1200 Series variable wavelength detector SL Plus can keep up with the fastest LC analysis. Best-in-class noise and drift specifications give you maximum sensitivity for lowest detection limits and precise quantification at trace levels. An extremely wide linear range ensures reliable, simultaneous detection and measurement of primary compounds, by-products and impurities. New Agilent 1200 Series Evaporative Light Scattering Detector

Detection of semi-volatile parabens separated by RRLC.

Fully integrated with Agilent ChemStation software, the Agilent 1200 Series ELSD enables highly sensitive detection of non-UV-absorbing compunds. The detector essentially provides a universal measurement under isocratic and gradient conditions—independent of a compound’s absorbance, fluorescence or electroactivity. Minimized peak broadening ensures compatibility with ultra-fast RRLC.

And your next system, too. New 1200 Series High Performance Autosampler SL Plus: Near-zero sample carryover

After an injection of 240 ng of chlorhexidine, carryover was found to be 0.0028%, equivalent to 8 pg.

The Agilent 1200 Series high performance autosampler SL Plus has been extensively re-engineered to maximize performance and productivity in demanding RRLC and high-sensitivity LC/MS applications. Based on a proven flow-through design that ensures a wide injection volume range and the possibility to inject small volumes without loss of sample, the new SL Plus model achieves near-zero carryover—typically less than 0.004 %.

Agilent HPLC-Chip makes nanoflow LC/MS as easy as “plug and play.” Working seamlessly with the 1200 Series LC and 6000 Series LC/MS systems, Agilent’s revolutionary HPLCChip integrates the sample enrichment and separation columns of a nanoflow LC system with the intricate connections and nanospray tip used in electrospray mass spectrometry—all on a single, reusable microfluidic chip about the size of a microscope slide. Reusable chips are available in multiple functionalities (including custom configurations) to enable easy, interchangeable workflows with minimum downtime and maximum productivity. New small molecule applications complement the popular proteomics selections. Versatile, easy to use HPLC-Chip platform offers unprecedented plug-and-play flexibility. So you can quickly and easily switch between different projects—or different researchers—in minutes.
