A Time in your Life Exhibition The Liss Area Historical Society is presenting an exhibition and ‘film’ show illustrating life between 1930 and 1960. As well as a range of everyday household and work-place objects, the exhibition includes a special display celebrating the Diamond Jubilee. There will be opportunities to trace your own family history through the Genealogy Society. Specially prepared DVD’s will run throughout the day showing local residents talking of their
experiences during the second world war, either as a war hero, as a child travelling through the war zone, being an evacuee, going to school in Liss, and working on the Liss Military Railway. Throughout the day the coffee bar and Sara’s Kitchen will be open offering traditional cakes and luncheons. Doors will open from 10am until 9:30pm. Admission is free but donations will be welcomed. “Victoria,” the steam engine, will be in the car park and we hope to have some vintage cars.
Come along to the Triangle Centre and join us for our Fashion Show!

I was really pleased to announce to our parents that the LCA have decided, as we are a non-profit making provision, TASC fees will not rise until September 2012. We have a few spaces remaining, so do contact Sandy Turner on 07504 997166 if you would like further details. Our children have taken part in the Liss Historical Society’s “Time of Your Life” project. The filming went well, with only a few hiccups! We all look forward to viewing it at the LHS exhibition in April. Next term we will be working towards an “in house” art competition for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The results of which will be displayed in the coffee bar in June. Following that the children will be making exhibits for the Liss Horticultural Summer Show.
