My name is Enrique Renard, and I am here to invite you to be part of a remarkable journey. We will not travel to some remote geographical place, but rather to a fascinating place that resides inside of you, inside all of us; a place few people know about but which holds some interesting answers to the sempiternal questions and mysteries that seem to surround human existence. Who are we human beings? Where did we come from? Where are we going?, and, above all, Is there a purpose behind it all? Of these four questions, the fourth is perhaps the most crucial, since we are in this world seemingly without having asked for it or without having been consulted beforehand, and physical life is tough proposition for anyone, in most cases fraught with pain. The 14 lessons of the Introductory Course you are about to take carry no intention of convincing you of anything. Theosophy is not a religion, nor is it a system of beliefs, a creed of some kind. It merely represents information about the inner aspects of mankind and of the laws of Nature that rule its evolution. It does not purport to represent the “Truth and nothing but the Truth”, and it is inevitably incomplete, Humanity not yet being ready for the whole thing. Helena P. Blavatsky who gave us this knowledge through her magnum opus The Secret Doctrine, in the 19th Century, clearly indicated that it represented merely “a tip of the iceberg”. However, her monumental work does contain plenty of fascinating material on the basis of which this Course has been structured. Theosophy is not merely a set of philosophical ideas. It is, essentially, a way of life. Or simply put, a way to better living. This is only possible at both individual and collective level when we are furnished with proper knowledge of the Laws of Nature and of the reason for our existence on this physical planet.

This being said, students must understand that what they are about to read or view in the videos now placed at their disposal represents hypothesis, and that the intention is to inform them, not to attempt to convince them to abandon their previous concepts or beliefs. To make good use of it, all that is required is to listen or read attentively, and to try to understand clearly what is being said. It is only when this is done, that students will be in a position to determine whether this material holds any value, whether or not it makes sense, and if in fact it delivers feasible answers to the aforementioned questions and to the so-called “mysteries” of life. This is the spirit in which this material is being offered to you, and it is hoped you will find it useful. Thank you.
