“Naples Pizza Tour” is a plurisensorial experience, made up of a variety of flavours, discovery of monuments, history and music of the Neapolitan folklore; a global trip around the true pizza, from the myth of its creation to it’s mysterious mixture (dough), searching the area where it was born and where it has coexisted with the ancient stones of Naples for over 2000 years.

a route where "the streets of Neaples,“ a real open-air museum of the true “focaccia” ( Neapolitan pie) , will lead our groups to the temples of taste .. From the gods of the Pizzamakers “Starita ,Michele , di Matteo Lombardi and Sorbillo “, just to name a few, to the pizzerias for a intensive crashcourse on the goodness and characteristics of the real Neapolitan pizza ...

The focal point is comparing two or three margherita pizzas , created ​by the hands of the Great Masters and tasted, sliced and eaten while still smoking in front of their respective (wood) ovens ....

Thanks to this gustatory experience we ‘ll be able to demonstrate and distinguish the main features of real pizza ..

A walk among the pizza houses tailored to linger close to the most representative monuments of the historical center, from Porta San Gennaro to the church of San Lorenzo, from Greek walls in Santa Chiara to Gesù nuovo and many others ..

Finally we will visit the colourful street-markets where the shouting of the Neapolitan people , real inventors of our famous dishes, find their daily inspiration and where we will meet Pulcinella (Punch), the most famous traditional mask of Naples , who will entertain us by recounting an ancient tale : “Pizza : “ the poor people’s sustenance."

THE guided tour will be strictly on foot, about 6 km and it lasts 3 hours including tastings. The meeting point is usually outside Naples, or at central station at a time agreed on with the association staff. Each participant will receive a registration card and a map with all tour stops marked on it. Drinks will be distributed only by the guide.. Along the tour there will be 8 stops including 4 for tasting and 4 illustrating history, legends and monuments. The stops for the tasting where you will sample pizza will last about 30 minutes. Portions of pizza will be appropriately sized to the number of participants and you will have a small drink (wine-beer or water 33cl.) We will show you only the façade of the monuments without entering .

The MENU

The menu is fixed and invariable and it will start with a rich taste of fried food (which is usually ordered as a starter) and consists of a cardboard box containing : “pastacresciute, omelette and battilocchio” and later …PIZZA MARGHERITA ...
