In the last paragraph of this book review, the author neglected to disclose that he is married to the author of one of the books that he discussed, Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology by Hammond. His intention was to contrast different styles of textbooks that focus on classical experiments or provide an authoritative compendium of knowledge in the field. The author regrets this omission.
