Detailed description The Revised 2nd edition Forester Sti with 280 bhp was introduced in 2004 with a major facelift as seen on this available example from the end of 2005. As usual, the Japanese kept the best for themselves, with the UK, Europe, USA etc only getting much lesser equipped models, the closest & hottest for other markets being a good 80+ bhp down on power, yet alone other performance enhancements.The Forester Sti 2006 model is an extensively equipped robust & spaceous family car offering legendary Subaru STI performance & 4WD all-weather capability. This particular example is extremely rare being one of only a handful available for the UK market. It's full spec. including all factory options from Japan and is also equipped with a close ratio 6 speed manual gearbox, Brembo brakes, 18" alloys and impressive STi specification. engine with intercooler turbo making 280 bhp as standard, 6 speed close-ratio manual gearbox mated to permanent 4 wheel drive, with powerful Brembo 4 wheel disc brakes including dinner plate sized discs with 4-piston calipers at the front and 2 piston at the rear. Suspension includes factory fitted gas struts. To deal with the extra power, the Forester STi gets upgraded suspension components. In addition to STi sport springs and revised struts at each corner, there are beefier anti-roll bars and cross-members. The changes result in a ride height that is 30mm lower and produces an improved resistance to torsional forces. These combined help to offer a refined yet sporty ride that allows you to play with sliding the rear end using throttle to control it, yet gives excellent all weather drivability all whilst offering class leading load capacity. How about a 0-60 in 5.0 seconds with ability to return 30 mpg when driven normally. Naturally along with powerful Brembos at each corner there's 4 channel ABS as standard too. Considering the capacity of swallowing an entire family of 5, ample luggage and the dog with ability to cruise at high speed to say a Ski resort, it only weighs 1,470kg unlaiden. Essentially it's a more modern design, although under the skin it's exactly the same mechanical specification. Test Drive: As with each car we source, this example was picked for it's high quality. From our first inspection we could tell that this car had maintained it beautifully. It's clear from the general condition, this example's not been driven hard and has always been well looked after. As such it drives without fault and the engine is purrrfectly quiet, no rattles or other signs of wear. We found absolutely no faults to report / needing repair. Note this car has been meticulously serviced & maintaned since new. Timing belt is now due for changing, so we will be completing this work as part of our full UK preparation package. Condition: Auction grade is 4.0. Paintwork is stunning and has virtually no stone chips at all to the front. This is a good indication of careful & slow driving by the previous owner. From 15 years of daily experience checking cars - We can confirm both front doors have previously been painted. Note this car has not been in any accident, it was simply a cosmetic repair. Paint match is perfect. 99% of people would never know, but we mention it here to provide a complete report. There is a small pin dent on the o/s/r door and the rear bumper's left corner has been nudged in the past, causing a minor mark (See pictures). These faults are left as they are, but if preferred can be professionally repaired in the UK at small additional cost. Let us know if you'd like these taken care of when reserving. The interior is in excellent condition with no wear or marks to upholstery and it's clear the previous owner mostly drove alone and always kept it clean & tidy. This has been a non-smoker's car since new. Note the complete lack of corrosion, or oil leaks on the underside. Engine bay is also in excellent condition, with no rust on bolts, etc. Even the fins on the intercooler show virtually no flattening, further indicating this car's not been driven hard (Subaru intercooler fins will flatten if the car's driven at high-speed in rain, for example)>This is a hand picked example of much better quality than you may find elsewhere & is the only facelift example we currently have in stock (We also have a pre-facelifht 2004 currently in stock at a lower price). Since selling the last 2006 example, it took us 2 months to find this one so once this one is gone we expect finding another replacement Forester Sti model of this quality to be challenging at the very least. How the Newera System Works (1). Starting with your inquiry, we provide a quote or e-mail communication, so that we are clear on just what you are after. We ask for detailed information from you, so we can provide an accurate quotation from the beginning. If you are inquiring about a car from stock, steps (2) and (4) are not required. (2). When sourcing to order, our quotation is based on your requirements. As long as your budget is sufficient for the car youre after & the car is likely to be available, we will be prepared to find the car you order, or better. Remember: even if you budget too much, it doesnt matter. We operate a system of supplying the best car we can find, plus a set fee of 900. If we can buy your car for a low price, then you make the corresponding saving. (3). When you are ready to proceed, we ask for a deposit (& completed order form, if applicable). The deposit is usually 1,000. If you want a car worth over 10K OTR, then the deposit is 1,500. The deposit is fully refundable without question, should you for any reason need to cancel before a car is bought on your behalf. If you are reserving a car from stock the deposit is refundable less costs and time incurred provided you cancel 4 working days before shipment from Japan. (4). Miguel, our buyer keeps you informed via e-mail periodically whilst searching for your car. Sometimes it can take weeks, even months to find the right car. In addition to Miguel attending the major Tokyo auctions daily, we have buyers searching daily throughout Japan for the car you want. No news simply means we havent found it yet. We dont buy the first car which comes along. It must meet or exceed your requirements whilst not costing more than the OTR price we agreed, though it frequently costs less. (5). As soon as available, we will e-mail you up to 30 detailed photographs, showing all aspects of your car. We also include a detailed description. Of course, total OTR price is known at this stage, so we let you know. Cars are insured from the time theyre bought, to the time they are completed & collected by you in UK. (6). Usually, boats are available every 2-3 weeks, from Japan to UK (Southampton).

We arrange for your car to be shipped on the first vessel available. Around the time the car is shipped, we ask for the second instalment. Typically this is approximately 60% of the cars OTR total cost. Note that the car we supply to you is fully insured at all times prior to you collecting it. (7) We arrange booking of the SVA test in advance - shortly after the car departs, so that the car can be tested as soon as possible upon arrival to UK. We also inform our UK agent of your full contact details and information on everything which needs doing, to make sure the car wil be presented in beautiful condition. (8). Shipping takes 5 weeks. Around 2 weeks before arrival, we ask you for the final instalment, to cover Import duties, VAT, shipping, UK conversions, testing, registraton etc. (9). Before the car arrives, we arrange customs clearance, etc. so the car neednt spend un-necessary time waiting at the docks upon arrival. It usually takes 3-4 days for cars to be unloaded and cleared by UK customs. (10). The car is sent from Southampton to our UK agents premises in Canterbury aboard a car transporter. Upon arrival there, it is SVA converted, derestricted, SVA tested & MOTd (If applicable). All minor cosmetic work required (e.g. bumper scratches) is carried out. The car is fully valetted just before you collect it. (11). The car comes with 6 months road tax and is fully registered in your name as the first UK keeper. If you have a suitable private number plate youd like to go on the car, we can also arrange this, provided you have a DVLA retention certificate. N.B.
