R-M PLAYS ITS PART IN DE ROOY’S IVECO ASSAULT ON THE DAKAR RALLY R-M Automotive Refinish is taking on the challenge of one of the world’s most gruelling rallies, the Dakar, as the Technical Sponsor of the Petronas Team De Rooy Iveco. Five race trucks and four service trucks, finished in Europe with R-M’s GRAPHITE HD will start the rally in South America, which runs from January 1 to 15, 2012. The first race has already been run successfully in preparation for the Dakar with a fifth place on the Maroc Oilibya rally.

The Dakar Rally runs from the 1st to the 15th of January 2012 from Mar Del Plata on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, through the Andes Mountains in Chile, and up to Lima in Peru over 9,000 kilometers of some of the most difficult and demanding terrain in world, from arid deserts to rock strewn mountain roads. “When IVECO approached us to support this project with the finish of the De Rooy trucks, we were happy to contribute our experience, highly motivated team and commercial vehicle paint competence - all to ensure perfect results and a high quality finish.
