World of Warcraft Afttermath: Throne of Tides As the Worldbreaker series comes to an end, we now turn to the aftermath of Deathwing's destructive awakening into Azeroth and the continued battle against the elements and the Twilight Hammer Cult. The newest WoW TCG expansion, Aftermath: Throne of Tides, puts players in control of Murloc, Naga, and Ogre heroes as exciting new additions to the WoW TCG hero lineup.

Playing as some of the more monstrous races in the World of Warcraft universe is pretty cool, with all new keywords and abilities to take advantage of during gameplay. In addition, Throne of the Tides has been built from the ground up to be a smoother draft and sealed play experience, preparing even the newest players for fun, engaging tournament play. Interested? D&D The Legend of Drizzt Board Game The adventures of Drizzt Do’Urden, as told in the New York Times bestselling Forgotten Realms novels by R.A. Salvatore, come to life in this thrilling board game. Take on the role of the legendary Drow ranger or one of his famous adventuring companions, battle fearsome foes, and win treasure and glory. Designed for 1–5 players, this board game features multiple scenarios,

Dreadfleet is a boxed game for two (or more) players that includes everything you need to make war on the turbulent seas of the Warhammer world. At your command are two fleets of ships - the Dreadfleet led by the Vampire Count Noctilus, aboard his gargantuan sea-hulk the Bloody Reaver; and the Grand Alliance commanded by the Pirate Captain Jaego Roth, who recently stole the Heldenhammer - the pride of the Imperial Fleet, and one of the largest galleons to ever sail the I S S U E # 24

high seas. As your ships engage in furious battle, it's down to you, the fleet captain, to make important split-second

challenging quests, and cooperative game play. The contents of this game can also be combined with other D&D Adventure System Cooperative Play board games, including Castle Ravenloft and Wrath of Ashardalon, to create an even more exciting experience. Pre-order yours today!

decisions. Do you bring all guns to bear on the closest enemy warship, or do you sail into position for a furious broadside? What happens when the warship catches fire, or worse, the powder kegs ignite? Exactly how much punishment can your warship take before it sinks without a trace? Gamers' Corner– By: K. Dalton Welcome to Gamer’s Corner. I take this as my monthly chance to show off what’s going on here at the store, what products have caught my eye; generally anything I believe my fellow gamers may find interesting. After playing Magic the Gathering for around a year and a half now I have come to love the game. It was my very first TCG that I really got into and bought packs to actually use the cards, not just look at them. Lately though, I have been trying out a few of the other available TCG’s and I have been pleasantly surprised by how good they are! In this month’s Gamer’s corner I’d like to explain the pros and cons of these games and hopefully spark some interest in them as well. Let’s get started. World of Warcraft TCG: Being

Chaostle Chaostle (kâ'os'l) is a combination of the words Chaos and Castle. Chaostle is a three-dimensional castle fantasy board game. Each player selects their starting armies that they will use to battle against their enemies in an attempt to conquer the castle for their King or Queen. The armies consist of many different fantasy fighters with unique skills and weaknesses such as wizards, dragons, unicorns, knights, archers, etc. The fighters are custom collectible plastic miniatures. The game has many levels of strategy that can be offset by a wide range of fates (both good and bad). Page 4

a long time player of the online game I was thrilled to be able to play a game with the characters that I have grown to love. The game uses a mechanic similar to mana in magic, play quests and locations in order to play your other cards. What makes this great though is the fact that you can take ANY card from your hand and place it face down as one of these “resources” The deck construction is also interesting as you may only include cards that match your chosen heroes class and faction.

Actually is turning out to be quite fun. One of my favorite mechanics is the prize pool. After each player draws his opening hand, they both set aside 6 cards that are drawn one at a time after defeating your opponents pokemon. The game also excels with the leveling mechanic. Your pokemon change throughout the game, allowing you to surprise your opponent with a bigger and badder version of your current creatures. Redakai: Using cards that are in 3D and a cool stacking mechanic make this game for me. The game also has two different versions of play, one for kids, and one for adults, making it a great household game for people who haven’t really gotten into TCG’s.

Pokemon TCG: Oh pokemon, how I missed thee. This game has a direct line back to my childhood, back to when I was only a novice nerd and didn’t even know how to play the Got any questions or comments game, just bought cards for a about these games? Shoot us an e“cool” factor. The game though, mail or give us a call! Until next time!

by Chivalry Games Barrington Hills, IL Chaostle features 23 threedimensional castle walls that are secured onto the game board. The fantasy fighters can move any direction throughout the castle including up and down stairways to change levels. The castle sections were originally sculpted by Bruce Hirst of Hirst Arts. We have a demo copy in store for you to play or view contents. MSRP is $74.95 but it is a large box packed with quality components! UNIQUE GIFTS AND GAM ES
