ODP-4ST Optical Node A Compact Optical Satellite L-Band Distribution System Features •  •  •  •  •

A high-capacity, fiber optic receive node for distributing up to four satellite feeds through a single-mode fiber passive optical network (PON) Provides flexible commercial installations distributed over fiber optic cable rather than coaxial cable. Supports a variety of node network sizes. Simplifies installation and overall equipment needs using standard commercial dish antennas and residential hardware. Distributes up to four satellite feeds providing access to more channels available than in typical commercial installations, including complete lineups of high-definition programming and Video-On-Demand content.

Instructions •  Use the ODP-4ST with a Dish Optical Network 4 Sat Headend (part number 161299) or the Fiber Stacker, 4 Sat (part number 161563). • Use the outputs of the ODP-4ST with a Dish Pro or a Dish Pro Plus series switch or to extend L-Band DP trunks.

Installation Considerations •  •  • • •

Carefully review safety and installation instructions prior to using this product. The optical network headend (part number 161299) uses a Class 3b laser. The fiber stacker (part number 161253) uses a Class 1 laser. Standard PON splitters may be used between the optical headend device and the ODP-4ST devices. Different optical system loss budgets need to be taken into account when using the two optical headend options. If full PONs are not used, equivalent optical loss must be added to prevent damage to the ODP-4ST and/or ODPP-43.
