Drawing With Publisher The set of drawing tools in Microsoft Publisher prior to the 2002 version was different from those in Microsoft Office (see Learn Microsoft Draw, pages 60-1). With versions 2002 - 2007 the tools are present (at the left of the screen, in the Formatting toolbar at the top, and in the Arrange menu). There are at least three significant differences: Drawings in Publisher (2002 and later) can be saved, in a variety of formats: select the drawing; right-click; click on Save as Picture; select the format. Vector formats are Windows Metafile (*.wmf) and Enhanced Metafile (*.emf, recommended — scroll down for this). When two or more objects are selected, the Group icon appears at the bottom; clicking on this icon groups the selected objects. appears; clicking on this ungroups the obWhen a group is selected, the Ungroup icon jects.
