Roseto’s ‘National Night Out’

By Michael Ortoski ROSETO- National Night Out event was held in Roseto on August 1st at Roseto Ballpark. There was MevEvac Landing, Columbia Fire Co. equipment on display, Roseto Police Department, self-defense demonstration by “Bangor Vee Arnis Jitsu”, Home and School Safety seminar by Washington Township Officer Jodi Daniels. Food and ice cream was available. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Continued to page 4

Dave Lantz on piano and Joshua Crumbly on sax played some cool jazz while the Totts Gap Dancers performed along with local artists who painted and photographed the event. The Summer Sounds Concert Series presented by Wind Gap and Pen Argyl boroughs continued their shows at The Headliners performed at Wind Gap Park Wind Gap Park with the featured band ‘The Headliners’. They were so happy Mission of Love was able to provide pizza, ice cream, watermelon and homemade bake cookies. “Once again I want to thank all the sponsors and volunteers from Merchants Bank Bangor, Rotary Club Wind Gap and Bangor Elks, as well as Laura McClain from the Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce, for making this years program a success. we look forward to having others join this great need in the community next year.Thank you!
