Datacomms Structured Cabling Course code: LS1  Duration: 2 Days This course teaches the importance of quality cable cross connect product and installation techniques in providing overall transmission performance. It will also cover use of standards and system design principles for maximum performance and reliability. Specific instruction is given in the correct use of Schneider Electric’s product range in cabling infrastructure. C-Bus Basics Course Code: LS2  Duration: 3 Days This course covers the fundamentals of the C-Bus system. All C-Bus installers must attend this Basic Platform Training Course. (Note: bring your own laptop to the training to participate) C-Bus Touchscreens Course Code: LS3  Duration: 2 Days The C-Bus Touchscreen is the operator’s interface to the system. This course covers the programming and configuration of C-Bus Touchscreens. (Note: bring your own laptop to the training to participate) C-Bus Logic Course Code: LS4  Duration: 2 Days This course covers the programming and configuration of C-Bus Logic scheduling. (Note: bring your own laptop to the training to participate) Wiser Gateway Course Code: LS5  Duration: 1 Day Control devices such as web tablets, PDA’s, and mobile phones can be used to control a C-Bus network through a Wiser Gateway. This course covers the setup and configuration of the Wiser Communication Gateway. (Note: bring your own laptop to the training to participate) DALI Control Basics Course Code: DALI1  Duration: 2 Days The DALI Control Basic training course is designed for Electrical Contractors, Consultants and Apprentices who wish to learn the basics of how to program the DALI Control system.

Course Contents: At the conclusion of this training course, you will have identified the advanced software features to program a DALI Control system. This will include: • Programming of DALI Control switches and sensors • Knowledge Assessment • Programming of C-Bus DALI Gateway Low Voltage Protection Devices Course Code: LVP  Duration: 1/2 Day This course covers an understanding of how “communicating” MCCB’s and ACB’s are predominately used in the design of a low voltage distribution network. Hands on lessons with the devices will enable users of the technology to better understand how to capture relevant protection and measurement data they can use. You will learn to adapt communicating components with MCCB’s and ACB’s and how to connect via a gateway to access energy management data. You will also learn how to use two free dedicated softwares (RSU and RCU) that allow access to measurement, control and protection information. (Note: bring your own laptop to the training to participate) Variable Speed Drives Course code: VSD  Duration: 1 Day This course provides an introduction to Altivar variable speed drives for all industrial electricians, technicians and maintenance staff who interact with drive technology on a day to day basis. The basic principles of AC motors and variable speed drives are discussed, with hands-on workshop exercises using Altivar 71 and Altivar 312 or Altivar 32 drives. Drives topics such as energy saving, EMC, harmonics and best installation practices may be discussed. Software tools to assist configuration, optimisation and monitoring of the drives are demonstrated. (Note: participants are advised to bring a laptop PC with SoMove configuration software pre-loaded)

Zelio Logic Course code: LEC  Duration: 1 Day This course introduces you to logic relays. The Smart relay has introduced a new dimension in design of circuits for simple machines and in the building services environment. The possibilities are endless and can be easily achieved by using modules from 10 to 40 I/O. Their ease of setting up provides a competitive alternative to solutions based on cabled logic or specific cards. This course also covers the more advanced features of Zelio Logic, modbus communications, Sequential Flow Chart programming, and more advanced maths and function blocks.

SoMachine Configuration Course Code: AUT1  Duration: 3 Days SoMachine software is used to program Schneider Electric’s small PLC’s and HMI Controllers.

Prerequisite Knowledge: The DALI Control Basic training course will require you to have: • A strong electrical or technical background.

• Configuring a DALI connection to a network • Using the software to configure a DALI system • Knowledge Assessment DALI Control ECD Course Code: DALI2  Duration: 2 Days The DALI Control ECD training course is designed for Electrical Contractors, Consultants and Apprentices who wish to expand their knowledge on the DALI Control system utilizing advanced software features. Prerequisite Knowledge: The DALI Control ECD training course will require you to have: • A strong electrical or technical background. • Experience with using a PC. • A Valid Accreditation for DALI Control Basics (PST251)

It is IEC 61131 compliant with six programming languages. Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text, Instruction List, Ladder Logic and Continuous Function Chart. Derived or User Created Function blocks, (DFB’s), Derived Data Types, or Data unit Types (DUT’s), On-Line changes, Watch Windows and Simulation will all be covered in this three day training course.

Unity Pro PLC Programming Course Code: AUT2  Duration: 3 Days Unity Pro is the latest generation PLC programming software from Schneider Electric. In this 3-day course the student will be introduced to the Modicon M340, Premium & Quantum hardware, and the Unity Pro environment. It serves as an introduction to IEC programming languages (Ladder, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Chart & Instruction List) for those who wish to advance beyond traditional ladder logic. Hands on programming through the use of practical labs and the built-in simulator reinforce understanding of this powerful software tool. Modbus on Ethernet TCP/IP Communications techniques available in the Unity Pro IEC61131 environment, establish communications from PLC to PLC, and PLC to ATV71 Variable Speed Drives. Vijeo Designer Course code: AUT3  Duration: 2 Days Vijeo Designer is the configuration software for the Magelis XBTG range of touch screen HMI. You will become familiar with the features offered by the XBTG range and upon completion of this 2 day course you will be able to install the Vijeo Designer software, develop an application and run it on XBTG. A number of practical labs are included in the course, which when completed are run on the Vijeo Designer simulator. Knowledge of PLC programming and addressing is required, and knowledge of HMI products is an advantage. Vijeo Citect Configuration Course code: CIT1  Duration: 3 Days Gain insight into Vijeo Citect SCADA project design and become familiar with configuration techniques. This “hands-on” course includes practice with plant control, data collection, trending and reporting. Vijeo Citect Cicode Programming Course code: CIT2  Duration: 2 Days Learn about basic programming techniques using the Cicode programming language in this “hands-on” course. This course is aimed at the user who has had no programming experience. It is also useful for the experienced user who wishes to become familiar with Cicode. Course documentation and a copy of the project developed during the course will be supplied. Vijeo Citect Architecture and Redundancy Course code: CIT3  Duration: 2 Days Gain advanced skills including knowledge of the principles behind networking in Vijeo Citect SCADA, such as how Vijeo Citect SCADA uses a network, redundancy and distributed servers. Learn more about the Vijeo Citect Kernel and connecting to Vijeo Citect SCADA remotely through the Internet Display Client, Web Client and Vijeo Citect SCADA Pocket.

The controller will be configured to communicate with an ATV71 Variable Speed Drive using CAN-Bus. A brief overview of embedded Vijeo Designer, to configure the HMI Controllers, will be covered also.
