Introduction Since its academic accreditation in June 2012, the research team in Physics of Semiconductors and Solar Energy (PSES) has followed a new strategic direction for research and development, based primarily on:
1- International scientific cooperation actions 2- The win-win partnership with industrial operators 3- The innovative research programs and projects With this new strategy, combined with the perseverance and willing of its active members, PSES was able to obtain the material and logistical resources to implement the first public-university platform dedicated to training, research,
innovation and production of Clean Electricity in Morocco. Thus, a new dynamic of modern and attractive research in the field of solar energy was created and continues its development at the ENS-UM5R.

Local Production of Green Electricity
With the 5 grid-connected power plants installed by PSES
ENS becomes the first public high school in Morocco covering nearly 20 % of its energy needs from solar electricity produced locally
CONCLUSION Research team on physics of semiconductors and solar energy (PSES), established at Ecole Normale Supérieure of Mohammed V University in Rabat (UM5R) is an accredited entity actively working in the field of photovoltaic materials and systems. Its new research approach is based on the development of major innovative projects in solar energy in association with international organizations and industrial partners. Because of its scientific productivity and its concrete achievements, PSES becomes a distinguished university operator in its field.
PSES members are pleased to provide their university with several gridconnected photovoltaic micro-plants based on different technologies. They are also pleased to have achieved and continue to develop locally the first public university platform dedicated to RDI on photovoltaic technology in Morocco. They are contributing modestly to the scientific activities and the international reputation of their institution and their university. They are also contributing honorably to the organization of COP 22 in their country.
