Flavour Fall: Purple to dark red colour over a yellow background at maturity. Blush to exceed 60 % of the surface. Flesh to be amber in colour. Normal bloom. Sound fruit with or without stalks. Intact skins. Free from juice and spray residues or foreign matter on the skin. TOLERANCE PER CONSIGNMENT
Total minor defects (within allowance limit) to be < 2 defects per item Total minor defects (outside allowance limit) must not exceed 10% of consignment. Total major defects must not exceed 5 % of consignment. Combined Total not to exceed 10%.
PACKAGING & LABELLING
Packaging as per Woolworths requirements. Labelling to identify grower or agents name/brand (plus growers name and street address including town and state if via an agent), address, contents, fruit-type, variety name, grade/class, size, ITEM & TU Number, barcode and minimum net weight. Bulk Loose Product to identify harvest date (eg. Harv DD/MM/YY). Harvest date is not to exceed 14 days from date harvesting upon receipt. ‘Packed On’ date (eg. Pkd DD/MM/YY) and harvest date on outer carton and Pre Packed Product to identify ‘Best Before’ date on retail unit and outer pack. ‘Best Before’ date not to exceed 8 days from date of packing while providing not less than 4 days clear shelf life prior to expiry date.
RECEIVAL CONDITIONS
Compliance with Quarantine Treatments (if required) for Interstate Consignment. Stacked to Ti Hi specifications onto a stabilised pallet as pre-ordered. Refrigerated van with air bag suspension, unless otherwise approved. Temperature 0-13 °C for Receival
CHEMICAL & CONTAMINANT RESIDUES
All chemicals used pre/postharvest must be registered and approved for use in accordance with the requirements of the APVMA regulatory system. Contaminants and Heavy Metals to comply to the FSANZ Food Standards Code MPC’s and MRL’s.
Specifications reviewable: eg. to account for specific regional effects or adverse seasonal impacts on quality or early or late seasonal variances as agreed with each state operation and communicated formally in writing by Woolworths.
