Testing of Response Plan The functional testing of the response plan will contain a number of elements, as there are three emergency situations all of which require a differing response. An on-site emergency on a client’s site will be in accordance with their emergency plan. The Mainstream aspects of the test will take the form of conforming to the directions of the respective wardens, a confirmation of emergency services numbers applicable to all sites where services are preformed and proceeding to the locations of the emergency muster areas as well as the confirmation of the Mainstream emergency contacts list. A site emergency drill at the Mainstream Singleton Depot will involved the “mock up” spilling or ignition of a contaminant that will cause environmental harm. All business’s listed above will be contacted to confirm the provided numbers. Mainstream staff will use on site spill kits, fire equipment and utensils to contain the spill / fire. An emergency during transportation will involve the review and application of the Operator Emergency Handbook and involve at least two aspects. EG: the spill of a trackable substance and a vehicle fire, or the spill of a trackable substance and a vehicle accident. One scenario will be tested per calendar year and recorded in the Mainstream Action and Functional Registers. Recording results of test The conduct of the test will be recorded in the Mainstream “Actions Register”. Test results, recommendations and corrective actions will be detailed in the environmental monitoring folder of the Mainstream Functional Register.
