Project METAMORPHOSES CALL FOR APPLICATION CHOREOGRAPHIC PROJECTS A project realised with the support of the Culture Program of the European Union and initiated by:

Presentation With the project Métamorphoses supported by European Commission in the framework of the Culture program, La Briqueterie/CDC du Val de Marne (France), Les Brigittines (Belgium) and the Centrum Kultury Zamek (Poland) join forces and would like to associate themselves with choreographers/dancers in order to question the rehabilitation of their buildings into venues strongly committed to choreography and movement. All three spaces carry a particular memory, traces and imprints of history that are still there, visible and palpable. The Centrum Kultury Zamek that is situated within the Castle was the last European imperial building (new opening in December 2012 after reconstruction) and once strongly related to political power. Les Brigittines, a chapel of the 17th century inhabited by religious and spiritual power, was rehabilitated and extended and open door to performing arts in 2007, La Briqueterie, an old brick factory, is still in rehabilitation (grand opening in march 2013) was strongly related to labor and industrialisation. The project Metamorphoses will be realised between October 2012 and October 2014 and is organised around transnational artistic productions on the theme of metamorphosis of the spiritual and religious power, the labor and political power. Overview on the artistic activities: 3 choreographic creations co-produced by the three partners and a tour in the three venues 1 film-video 1 urban intervention in each location Mediation and audience development activities, debates/professional meetings as well as laboratories of European cooperation led by the three co-organizers The result of all these creative and reflective actions will result in three Highlights (one week events) organised in each partner venues where all participating artists will be presented in the first semester of 2014. These moments will be under the sign of sharing between audiences and artists.
WHO We are looking for 3 choreographic artists who will be asked to question and propose interpretations on the theme of metamorphosis of the spiritual and religious power, the labor and political power by taking into account the metaphorical or/and the spatial and architectural dimension as part of their artistic project.

Deadline for application 10th January 2013 Eligibility Requirements o Applicants must be available 6 weeks in total for the three residencies, between September 2013 and March 2014. Applicants will establish residency for 2 weeks in each venue: Les Brigittines, Brussels (BE) – Centrum Kultury Zamek, Poznan (PL) – La Briqueterie/CDC du Val de Marne, Vitry sur Seine (FR) o
Applicants must be available to tour in the three venues (2 performances in each) during a one week Focus specifically dedicated to the project with all other selected artists and activities of project.

NB: the companies will be asked a declaration of honor to commit to the project on the indicated dates and periods
o Co-production fee for 3 residencies per project: 24 000 € (8 000 € for each) to which should be added travel expenses (except local transports), per-diems and accommodation. Artistic fee /per location/2 performances: 6 000 € (18 000 € in total/3 locations) to which should be added travel expenses, per-diems and accommodation. Number of maximum people: 6 persons including choreographer and technician o
The technical requirements of the performance should be adaptable to the 3 venues (technical description of the venues upon request)

Any other financial contribution to the project that the company can apply for is welcomed.
