Database Description As the academic community's primary electronic resource, Project MUSE covers the fields of literature and criticism, history, the visual and performing arts, cultural studies, education, political science, gender studies, and many others. The Project MUSE Full Database offers numerous full text journals. Project MUSE is setting the standard for scholarly electronic journals in the humanities and social sciences. Hypertext links are available for efficient navigation among article bibliographies, citations, endnotes, author biographies and illustrations. Though Project MUSE subscriptions are available only to institutions, the database is made available to the entire campus, not just to workstations in the library. Using any World Wide Web browser (such as Netscape or Internet Explorer), faculty, students, staff and library patrons of subscribing institutions can view and search the database. Contact Lea Simon at the library for username and password information. A few publishers participating in Project Muse include the American Folklore Society, Brookings Institution Press, Catholic University of America Press, Gallaudet University Press, Kent State University Press, Michigan State University Press, University of Minnesota Press, the Music Library Association, University of Nebraska Press, University of North Carolina Press, the Population Association of America, the University of St. Thomas, Wayne State University Press, along with hundreds of other publishers.
