Ramadan 1431 H in UB The time flies on the 28th day of Ramadan. Tomorrow (8 / 9) is the last day of Dhuhr’s ba’da sermon in this Ramadan because on 9 September 2010 is the beginning of Eid ul Fitr’s holiday for UB’s civil servants. Various activities have been organized by the Center of Religious Development of Universitas Brawijaya (PPA UB). It starts from the collection of zakat, infaq and shodaqoh until the organizing of Nuzulul Quran, helping the poor and orphans and giving tausiyah in Fatahillah mosque by inviting famous preachers of Malang. In one month of Ramadan, PPA invites some preachers to give tausiyah. They are KH. Lutfi Bashori, Dr. Syuhadak LC MA, KH. Saifuddin Zuhri, KH. Abdurrahman Qomari, and KH. Gus Abdurahman Wahid. In addition, UB officials also give Ramadan tausiyah. They are Warkum Sumitro SH MH, Ir HRB Ainurrasyid, and Prof. Dr. Agus Suman SE DEA. Eid ul Fitr Salat PPA UB will also hold Eid ul Fitr Salat 1431 H in UB’s rectorate field. Act as an imam is Drs. H. Dr. Ismail MH. M.Si and the chotib is a Vice Rector of Student Affairs, Ir. HRB Ainurrasyid MS. On that occasion, Ainurrasyid will carry the theme “Islamic Leadership to Create Peace Community." All academic members and the community around UB campus are expected to attend. Besides conducting Eid ul Fitr Salat, UB will also hold a Halal bil Halal that will be held at Sasana Samantha Krida Building on 20 September 2010. [Nun/aGw]
