(2) I understand that I must retain my SIM card, memory card, pouch, etc and if they are sent for repair accidently they may be disposed of. (3) I understand that during the evaluation of my mobile device we MAY perform a software upgrade which will remove any saved data including contacts, messages, pictures of downloaded software such as games, ringtones, etc. (4) We repair ONLY the problem that the phone has been booked in for. If additional problems arise either during the course of the repair or after the phone has been picked up then these will be quoted separately. (5) I understand that if the mobile turns out to be barred or we are unable to repair the problem the phone was initially booked in for due to liquid damage or other fault than a normal charge will be levied to cover the engineer’s examination. (6) If payment is NOT received within 30 days of job completion then your item will become the property of Face Value and may be broken down and used for spare parts or sold.

Warranty: Any repair made to your phone will be fixed at no extra cost should they fail with the same part failure within 30 days. This excludes faults relating to physical or accidental damage. Terms and Conditions Of Repair (In Full) Please read this carefully as this is about the service of your repair. 1.

Abuse will not be tolerated to any member of staff, if you are abusive in any way, we may desist from working on your item and give it back to you in whatever condition we have left it in. If the item is partially worked on, you will need to find another engineer from another company to complete it for you, but we will not be able to do any more business with you from that moment onwards. Any abuse is noted as anti-social or criminal behaviour, and this is prosecutable by law.

Your customer repair receipt is proof of ownership. Please DO NOT lose this. If you fail to produce this to us at the time of collecting your item then we cannot help you if you donít provide first hand evidence that the item booked in belongs to you. If you fail to provide us with a quality form of ID which matches the name and address details the item will not be presented to you.

Our service times can never be exact, however, as a guide we offer this information based on current engineer workload at the time of booking in the repair with us. Please remain patient during this time, and please note rule 1 of our terms and conditions in regard to abuse. If we do not get your item repaired in a reasonable time period, please call us on 028 9543 7058 and we will try to help you as much as we can however at times parts may become hard to obtain due to reasons outside of our control or we may run into unexpected problems during the course of a repair. It is always asked that you bear this in mind when using our company for repair. Please note all days measured are working days, technical staff repair units from Monday to Friday.

The inspection fees are for an engineerís time to look at your item & a small deposit to cover the cost of any parts required to fix your unit. This is NON REFUNDABLE so please do not ask for this to be returned as you have to realise we need to be paid to attempt to carry out your repair. The quotation given when booking your repair in will in most cases cover the cost of the parts & labour, however there are on occasions where we may find additional faults during the course of the repair which will have to be quoted for separately. We will always advise you of this beforehand. If you do not wish us to fix these faults at the time then you will only be charged the amount originally quoted for the work carried out.

If the item is Beyond Economic Repair or unrepairable, we will give you your item back in its original state, however if you fail to collect the item within 30 days of our giving first notice to you, the phone will be destroyed and recycled within our discretion, we may break it down and use it for parts to recover our costs of long term storage, if you fail to collect this unit on time you will not be entitled to a replacement phone, or any money back after 30 days of being notified. There may be extra charges incurred if we believe the engineer fee does not cover the work involved and you fail to pick up the item, we reserve the right to send you the bill for the inspection or to cover any failure in collection of your unit.

In accordance with Torts Act 1977, should your repaired or faulty or unclaimed item not be collected from our premises within 30 days, then Face Value has the right to dispose of said item by any means necessary in order to reclaim costs and clear up unclaimed items.

You will receive a text or phone call to tell you that your item is repaired and ready for collection, if you provided us with a valid mobile telephone number. If you provide us with an incorrect number, we cannot be liable for the losses incurred after the 30 day time-out period. We will attempt to contact you via E-Mail or Post before we try to sell the item to recover our costs of repairing it. Texting is a lot easier for us and prevents more costs to you. If we text or e-mail you and you provide us with the details, we keep a log of who we text. It is used as evidence to refrain any accusation from customers stating we did not contact them prior to the torts act of 1977 being imposed.

Every item that is booked in with us for repair goes through a set of basic checks. It is not always possible to check if every part on a unit is working if extensive damage has been caused though. If you tell us to repair a specific fault on your item, without informing us of other faults on the item, but then expect the other faults to be repaired for free, we cannot be responsible for these other faults nor will we be able to help you without charging you for the fault. We will be able to provide technical knowledge to prove that components being replaced cannot affect other components from going faulty. Is is very possible that depending on extent of damage to item other faults may not become apparant until after the item has been repaired. These were most likely present at the time of booking in but you may have been unaware of them.

Occasionally if we feel that your repair may take a long time to complete, we may offer to loan you a courtesy phone. Should you wish to avail of this offer then a small deposit of £10 will be levied. This will then be refunded as long as the courtesy phone is returned to us in the same condition it was given to you. You will be liable for the cost of any damages caused to the phone whilst in your possession. This is normally £25.00. We do not offer over £25.00 value hire phones.

10. We offer no refunds should an item that has previously been repaired by us become faulty during our 30 day parts only warranty period. This is a repair only warranty and you must allow us a reasonable time frame should the item need re-repaired with the same part. 11. Signing a unit in for any warranty repair does not accept liability of that said repair, nor does it mean that we will repair the unit once signed in. We must establish user damage before proceeding with any repair. If we find that in our engineers opinion the damage has been caused by the user but the damage is repairable, then our 30 day parts only warranty will become null and void. We will however offer the customer an opportunity to accept the repair at a lowered cost than the normal RRP price. This is approximately 10 percent less than our retail price. You will be informed of any potential costs before we proceed with the repair. 12. Our sales technical adviser must be made aware of any known faults on the item by the customer prior to the device being booked in. Failure to do so may result in additional charges being levied at a later stage should our engineer find new faults during the course of the repair. 13. All faulty units are repaired by our experienced qualified local engineer but are not carried out on our premises. 14. Any faulty units may be returned to Face Value as long as it is accompanied with a proof of repair, which is the till receipt(s). 15. If you have altered the phone in any way by fitting a fascia, or damaged the phone and had that phone repaired elsewhere, we will void the warranty. 16. All our repairs on items now carry a 30 day warranty for issues or manufacturer fault on the part itself, but does not include user damage or neglect, or any failure to inform us of other faults. We are well in our rights to repair only what you ask us to repair and are willing to pay us to repair for you. 17. If a fault arises out of the item that is not related to the repair of the item or the part that has been replaced, and you believe that our fitting has led to the failure of another part, you may sign the item back in to be looked at under our 30 day repair only warranty, however if it has found out to be a fault that in no way relates to the repair we had completed, we reserve the right to require payment for inspecting the unit and finding another or new fault. 18. Face Value do not warrant the entire item should you have a repair or a replacement of 1 part in the item. We only warrant the part and the labour involved in the replacement of that stated part. 19. After the unit is installed with our part, you can change your mind, however we will charge you labour fee for removal of such part, and any non payment for a change of mind will allow us to put a lien on your unit until payment is made in full to cover our labour costs both part in and part back out. 20. For the information on digitisers/lcds. Face Value will only replace a screen on a previously repaired phone if the screen develops a pixel fault within 30 days of the original repair, however if the outer digitiser or inner LCD screen shows obvious signs of cracking/bleeding which was NOT present after the repaired phone was collected we can only assume that the damage has been caused by misuse by the customer and as such will not be covered under our 30 day warranty. 21. There may be times, where Face Value must call you beforehand to discuss price, this may be in its nature due to the specific cost of parts with your requirements, should you accept our verbal price, you must be aware that our company will automatically order the parts on your immediate acceptance of the price and therefore, you are no longer obliged to change your mind once the parts are ordered for your specific unit to repair. We are under no obligation to remove any parts if you change your mind after you accepted any work quotation. 22. When accepting a price on signing in your item, you must note that, should you change your mind after the repair or service has been completed, you will still be charged for the repair. 23. If you order a repair from us specifically, such as a screen, but fail to tell us of other faults in the phone, Face Value reserve the right to make the choice whether to (i.) Continue with the repair (ii.) Just repair your specific part OR (iii.) Replace all the parts without your notification or acceptance. Face Value offer no warranty on other parts on your phone that has not been repaired or replaced by us. 24. Face Value Reserve the right to charge extra for problems not previously stated by the customer on the repair form. In this unlikely event, we will inform the customer of the extra charge before repairing the item. If at this point the customer decides not to continue with the repair, we reserve the right to charge for any labour or ancillary charges that may have occured in the investigation of further faults. Please be aware that during the course of repair it is possible that the symptoms may worsen whilst investigating the fault. If the device cannot be repaired, Face Value accept no responsibility for this eventuality. 25. During the course of repair it may be necessary to clear data stored in your phones memory. Please ensure data is backed up prior to sending your mobile in to us as we cannot guarantee data will be retained. 26. Please note that any console still within it’s manufacturers warranty will be void after Face Value have opened the system for our repairs. 27. Our Terms and Conditions may be changed regularly, please always check your conditions of our repair service prior to accepting our terms. 28. Your statutory rights are not affected by our terms and conditions, if you are unsure about these terms please do not proceed with the repair.
