RICHARD LYNCH Dick Lynch is the CEO of SmartExecutive, a company that focuses on using the Internet to create wealth for traditional organizations. The company has historically arranged successful business relationships between 1) complementary technology organizations and 2) technology companies with traditional businesses looking to create wealth via the Internet. Clients, conference sponsors and business partners include Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, JTM FoodProducts, Taft Stettinius & Hollister, The National Football League Players Association, BellSouth, Johns Hopkins, The Procter & Gamble Company, Cincinnati.Com The Enquirer & The Post (a Gannett property) and EDS. Dick is a highly sought after consultant and public speaker on the topic of Wealth Creation and the Internet. Currently he hosts The Internet Earthquake radio program on Clear Channel Radio. He has appeared on NBC, CBS and ABC television and will soon host his own television program about the Internet for AOL Time Warner and Insight Communications. His book, The Internet Earthquake – changing the landscape of the business world, is due out this summer. Contributing chapters to this book include Drayton McLane CEO of the Houston Astros and The McLane Group, Rick Ellenberger CEO of Broadwing (NYSE:BRW) and Garry Betty CEO of Earthlink (NASDAQ:ELNK). SmartExecutive is the presenting organization for the highly prized Internet Executive of the Year award and the Internet Entrepreneur of the Year award. Before forming SmartExecutive Dick held executive level positions at ICC, Digital Communication Associates and The Ultramax Corporation (owned in part by The Electric Power Research Institute). Dick graduated from Brown University in 1984 with a degree in Management & Organizational Behavior where he also played varsity football. Dick is an active supporter of numerous charities and has used executive conferences and the Internet to raise money for Vince Gill’s Tennessee Youth Golf Association, Native Vision (supporting Native American society), Doug Pelfrey’s Kick for Kids, The McDowell Cancer Foundation of Lexington, KY, Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, The Ruth Lyon’s Children’s Fund and The Neediest Kids of All. He currently resides in Cincinnati, OH with his wife Karen. They are awaiting the birth of their fourth child.
