Madden is president of mMadden Associates, LLC (offices in Washington, DC and New Orleans, LA) and is an executive consultant expert in governmental affairs, environmental management, health, education and economic development. Madden's commitment to establishing a dynamic, entrepreneurial business environment, has led to her appointment as Corporate Vice Presidents for a number of private corporations specializing in research, science, regulatory and major policy activities. Madden's leadership has become hallmarks of her tenure at Tetra Tech and other multi-billion dollar companies.

Educational and Academic Development

Martha Madden was appointed Clinical Associate Professor at Tulane Medical Center in the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Department of Environmental Sciences with a major area of research and classroom instruction in Hazardous Materials Management and Emergency Response Training and Education Center Project. On behalf of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, Ms. Madden received the 1987 State Conservation Aware from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation for meeting a specialized need of the state's citizens by overseeing the development of three volumes of an Environmental Educational Series.

Economic and Community Planning

Martha participated in World Trade Missions to San Jose; Costa Rica; Hanoi, Vietnam; Mexico City, Mexico; Merida Yucatan, Mexico; London, England; the Soviet Union; Budapest; and Hungary as well as participated in the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Environmental Management

Ms. Madden served as the Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. Martha was recognized for Meritorious Service from the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy; received the Outstanding Employee Award in the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste; and received the "Pioneer Award" from the U.S. EPA for her work with the Small Business Assistance Program.

Health and Social Education

Ms. Madden is a Charter member of the National Center of Minority Health & Health Disparities (NCMHD) Society of Fellows and Scholars at NIH and a Member of Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health at Tulane University.

Governmental Affairs

Governmental affairs is an area of Ms. Madden's expertise that covers the inside to top officials in local, state, and national governments -- as a Legislative Assistant in Washington, DC; an Environmental lobbyist; Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality; Coordinator of the Louisiana's Office of Permits; and with the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste. Madden polished her skills as an expert in governmental regulatory matters that included the areas of Air Quality, Water Quality, Solid and Hazardous Waste, Nuclear Low-Level Radioactive Waste, and Nuclear Spent Fuel Waste.

Strategic Business Development

As a member of the Society of International Business Fellow (SIBF), Ms. Madden participated in N.A.F.T.A. briefings and advised clients on strategic business development goals and also directed the development of numerous strategic business plans for individual state departments/divisions involving environmental quality.

National Security Consulting

Martha Madden was appointed to Homeland Security Task Force at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), as part of the Radiological and Nuclear Terrorism Task Force, and Cyber Threats of the Future Task Force; is a member of Business Executives for National Security; was a member of George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute Senior Fellows program; was a member of the first national board that developed the first emergency response program in the United States.

International and Cross Cultural Education

Martha was Dean of Student Personnel and Dean of Women, Northeast Louisiana University. Ms. Madden took a leave of absence and served as Dean of Students for World Campus Afloat "Semester at Sea". She has lectured on International Environmental Issues, Seminar at Sea in Central America, Salvador, Brazil, and Havana, Cuba. Martha is a member of the Association of International Educators and presented paper, "Innovations in International Education...A Ship-Based Educational Concept" at the International Association of Educators for World Peace.
