Vintage Celebrates 40 Years

July & August

The Vintage Board of Directors and staff thank all those who made our 40th Anniversary Event on May 30th a grand success. We had a great turnout – about 170 people total. The building was quite lively with many different senior activities going on. We received numerous positive comments about the ‘self-guided tour’ that we set-up. Guest speakers included Vintage Board of Directors Chair, Kate Freed; Mary Ester VanShura from the County Executive’s Office; Mildred Morrison, Administrator of the Area Agency on Aging; Bob Nelkin, President and CPO of the United Way of Allegheny County; Robert Smith, Vintage House Council President; and Ann Truxell, Vintage Executive Director. There was also an entertaining performance by the Vintage Twilighter Singers and an energentic demo by our Soul Line Dancers. Many thanks to event sponsors ABARTA, Blvd. CAFÉ catering, Eat’nPark, and PrimeSource printing services.

Vintage is CLOSED on Thursday, July 4th for Independence Day and Monday, September 2nd for Labor Day.

Have any East Liberty memorabilia (objects, photos, paper articles, etc.) that the public would find of interest? The East Liberty Valley Historical Society is having an Exhibition Aug. 16 - 31 and would like to borrow your treasures for display. See Tom in the Senior Center Director’s Office for details.

Many thanks to “In The Vineyard” Newsletter SPONSOR:
