Three-week old WT plants were transferred to the 1/2 MS plates containing 100 mM NaCl with or without 860 mg L-1 HA and grown for another 2 d. The plants were rinsed with deionized water, and dried at 65 ºC for 2 d. Dried tissues (100 mg of dry matter (DM) used) were extracted with digestion buffer containing of HCIO4:H2O:H2SO4 (9:5:1, v/v/v) on heating block with gradual increase of the temperatures from 100 ºC to 320 ºC. Na2+ ion content of samples were was analyzed using Inductively Coupled PlasmaMass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS, Perkin Elmer Optima 2200 DV). Data are means ± SE (n=3).
