During Ramadan, we talked about SPOONFULS OF JOY talking about different types of Actions of the Heart ; Iman, Tawheed, Tawakul , etc through all the 30 days , we talked about Taqwa till we put our heart in the Cage of Taqwa. The heart lazim have the KEY . We learn the Spoonful of Joy to so we can keep the Key - to keep the heart in the cage ( of taqwa) . ie control heart to say what pleases Allah only. Then we did Ibaad ur Rahman – in Surah Furqan – see the clarity . the Frqaan in Ayat ul Quran Crown of Honor ie ‘Ibaad ur Rahman After Ramadan, we talked about how we need to be careful about our Fabric of Faith . During Ramadan, we are stitching the Faith – like a fabric. Because Day of Eidis seen through 3-D glasses – we need to wear Gown of Taqwa – depend on how much you stitch during Ramadan – how much you eat , how much you worship, how much you attend & give EXTRA to the fabric of the faith , more than normal because Fabric Of Faith is libas at tqwa – just as how we take care of our body , that is how we take care when we meet Allah in the Day Of Judgement. Meeting Allah with our libas / faith – we wear this gown till next Ramadan , & take care of our libas with IHSAN, with Good Deeds, with knowledge . Carrier of the Musk – carry this till end of our life. Fragrance – Musk = we spread this musk whether to family , friends, like a good people in society because ibaad ar rahman , effect is more . We want Spoonfuls of Joy – want all to feel sweetness of faith but with no force because Allah will bring Good news ; Dzul Fadlil ‘Adzim – the One who is the Owner of the most Bounty & Generosity . Last week : Jewellery : Seeker of Knowledge = I want to seek the divine knowledge ie, need some adornments/ jewelleries to adorn ourselves to be talib il ’ilm. In Surat Al Baqarah, it shows many things in life like fasting, Haj, Qisas, Rules , Talaq , etc are all a forms of Ubudiyyah because ibadat includes every aspect of life. At Ta’DZeem As Saas il Al ‘Ubudiyyah - The basis of Ubudiyyah needs Ta’dzim Allah . How can we be a slave Allah if we are not magnifying & exalting Allah ? We can see at the end from Ayat 254 – 286 , it show how you magnify Allah which is the basis of being the ‘Ubudiyyah . The above are just ijtihad ( not what the Rasulullah said ) to make our understanding of the Surah clear .

AYAT 1 – 20

[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings] (1) This is the Book (the Qur'ân), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are AlMuttaqûn [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allâh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allâh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. (2) Who believe in the Ghaib[] and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakât, spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allâh's Cause - Jihâd,]. (3) And who believe in (the Qurân and the Sunnah)[] which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him ) and in that which we sent down before [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell,) (4) They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. (5) Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. (6) Allâh has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allâh's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment. (7) And of mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allâh and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not. (8) They (think to) deceive Allâh and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not! (9) In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allâh has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. (10) And when it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "We are only peacemakers." (11) Verily! They are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not. (12) And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad Peace be upon him , AlAnsâr and Al-Muhajirûn) have believed," they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not (13) And when they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe," but when they are alone with their Shayâtin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites), they say: "Truly, we are with you; verily, we were but mocking." (14) Allâh mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong-doings to wander blindly. (15) These are they who have purchased error for guidance, so their commerce was profitless. And they were not guided. (16)

There are 3 Groups of

( ASnaaf un Naas) : At Muttaqeen (Ayat 1 – 5) – Surah Al Baqarah mentions different ways of taqwa repeatedly. Al Kaafiruun ( Ayat 6 – 7 ) – There are majority but the Surah just mention them in just 2 Ayats Al Munafeeq ( Ayat 8 – 20 ) – includes Parables .

At Muttaqeen starts the Surah because this is our goal . Eventhough there are more Al Kaafireen by numbers , but only 2 Ayats are on them because it is simple to recognise them. The majority of Ayats are on the Al Munafiqeen - The Munafiq are very tricky so Allah emphasises on Nifaq ( hypocrisy) . Allah’s way with the people : He starts with the high goal ie to be Muttaqeen. The sequence is important : The Muttaqeen are very good & the Kaafireen are very bad. In the middle are the Munafiqeenw ho don’t know what they want with their life ; so there are more elaboration on them .

AL MUTTAQEEN ( Ayat 1 -5 )

The approach Allah Chose about the sifat of Al Muttaqeen starts with mentioning about the Quran. The starting mention they are Muttaqeen because they have the Quran .

ُ‫َذٲل َِك ۡٱلڪِ َت ٰـب‬

ُ‫ ۡٱلڪِ َت ٰـب‬is the Great Book & the Real Book

ِِ ‫بۛ ِِي‬ َ ‫ََل َر ۡي‬ Description of this KItab is “ there is no doubt in The Book “ .

َ‫ِي‬ َ ِ‫ُ ىًُ۬ لل ۡۡ ُُ قت‬ (There is not doubt in the Book but) only the Muttaqeen benefits from it .

What are the Sifat / Chacteristics of At Muttaqeen ?

There 5 Sifats of At Muttaqeen Ayat 2

1.

‫ب‬ ِ ‫وَ ِب ۡٱل َغ ۡي‬ َ ‫ِيَ ي ُۡؤ ُِ ُن‬ َ ‫ ٱلقذ‬. Who believe in the Ghaib / Unseen ie everything about Allah & what He told them  1st is about BELIEF

‫صَۡ ٰو َة‬ ‫ُوَ ٱل ق‬ َ ُ‫َو ُيِِي‬

do it perfectly.  2

and perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât).

َ‫ُو‬ َ ُ‫ ُيِِي‬means upright meaning they

is about ALLAH’S RIGHT

َ‫و‬ َ ُِ‫ َو ُُِقا َر َز ۡق َن ٰـهُمۡ يُن ِف‬and spend out of what we have provided for them. They know these are ۡ‫ َر َز ۡق َن ٰـهُم‬ 3 is about PEOPLE’S RIGHT rd

And who believe

in (the Qurân and the Sunnah)[] which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him )

and in that which we sent down before [the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.]

Belief in the Books, Messengers, Angels , etc  4th is BELIEF in everything Allah Revealed now and before .

َ‫و‬ َ ‫ َو ِب ۡٱۡلَخ َِر ِة ُُمۡ يُو ِق ُن‬and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of

their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell,)  5th is their BELIEF in the Akhirat (Last Day , Day of Judgement)

WHAT MADE THEM HAVE THESE SIFAT / CHARACTERISTICS ? Answer : The Quran . It guides them to be the best

After mentioning their sifat , 1.

what did Allah Promise them :

ۡ‫ك َعَۡ ٰى ُُ ىً۬ ُلَ رق ب ِلهم‬ َ ‫ أ ُ ْولَ ٰـٓ ِٮ‬They are on (true) guidance from their Lord,

Being Al Muttaqeen is already to be on the Guidance from Allah .In the beginning , in Ayat 2 , Allah already said

َ‫ِي‬ َ ِ‫ ُُ ىً۬ لل ۡۡ ُُ قت‬But now , in Ayat 5, Allah stressed further

ًُ۬‫ ) َعَۡ ٰى ُ ى‬that they are ON

TRUE GUIDANCE from their Rabb . If you are guided, Allah will give you more guidance as a reward . You take a little step , and Allah will give MORE STEPS . 2.

َ‫و‬ َ ‫ك ُُ ُم ۡٱلُ ُۡفِۡ ُح‬ َ ‫ َوأ ُ ْولَ ٰـٓ ِٮ‬and they are the successful.

As if they are in a race . Al Muttaqeen reach to succeed in the eyes of Allah .

‫ك‬ َ ‫ أ ُ ْولَ ٰـٓ ِٮ‬in the Ayat 5 shows Allah Honoring them : َ‫و‬ َ ‫ك ُُ ُم ۡٱلُ ُۡفِۡ ُح‬ َ ‫ك َعَۡ ٰى ُُ ىً۬ ُلَ رق ب ِلهمۡ َوأ ُ ْولَ ٰـٓ ِٮ‬ َ ‫ أ ُ ْولَ ٰـٓ ِٮ‬is Allah Magnifying them by calling them ‫ك‬ َ ‫ ( أ ُ ْولَ ٰـٓ ِٮ‬instead of Ha*ula, for example ) meaning they are granted a VERY HIGH POSTION. AL KAAFIRUN ( Ayat 6 – 7 ) Everything is there in the Quran like Treasures. We need to repeatedly seek them. Repetitions enforce Belief in our hearts . The more we learn, the more we realize that we do not know anything . This makes us humble . The arrogant feels he knows even after acquiring a little knowledge . May Allah Teach us and give understanding.

‫ِيَ َك َف ُرو ْا‬ َ ‫إَِق ٱلقذ‬

Verily, those who disbelieve – ( ‘Kafar’ means to know the Truth but cover the

Truth) Al Kaafireen know the Truth but they are covering the Truth because of their desires. They mock & they are arrogant.

ۡ‫ َس َوآ ٌء َعَۡ ۡي ِهم‬it is the same to them : ۡ‫ َءأَ َنذ ۡر َتهُمۡ أَمۡ لَمۡ ُتنذ ِۡرُُم‬whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) warn them or do not warn them

َ‫و‬ َ ‫ ََل ي ُۡؤ ُِ ُن‬they will not believe

The Kaafr know the Truth but they cover them ; so even if they are warned, they will not believe. Allah Knows the heart, and it is Allah who tell us “

َ‫و‬ َ ‫ ََل ي ُۡؤ ُِ ُن‬they will not believe” . Subhanallah .

Why don’t they believe ? What made them disbelieve ? Refer Ayat 7

‫ َخ َت َم ق‬Allâh has set a seal ُ‫ٱَّلل‬ a. ۡ‫هم‬ ِ ‫وب‬ ِ ُُۡ‫ َعَۡ ٰى ق‬on their hearts b. ۖ ۡ‫ِهم‬ ِ ‫ َو َعَۡ ٰى َس ُۡع‬and on their hearings ۡ ‫ص ٰـ ِرُِم‬ َ ‫ َو َعَۡ ٰ ٓى أَ ۡب‬and on their eyes there is a covering. – so they cannot see right from wrong (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allâh's Guidance),

They turned away & they are covering the Truth , that is why they are given 1.

/ ‘Iqaab Duniwi ie Punishment in the Duniyya . ( ie their hearts & hearings are sealed. And their eyes are covered from seeing right from wrong) / ‘Iqaab Akhirah ie Punishment in the Hereafter ie

ٌ‫ِِ ََ ٰـ َوةٌۖ َولَهُمۡ َع َذاب‬

‫ َعِِ ي ٌم‬Theirs will be a great torment. All these consequence is because they have a barrier & their heart do not feel . They are kafaru so then as a result this , Allah put a seal on their heart & hearing & a cover their sight . *************************************************************************************

TAFSEER Surat Al Baqarah is blessed – whether you read , or ponder or tafseer , etc , all are blessed. Blessed in everything : time, health, etc. And if you do not do anything with Surat ul Baqarah, there is regret . And magicians & magic cannot overcome Surat ul Baqarah. Before Ramadan, we talked about all aspects showing we are worshipper of Allah :  Qisas  Wasiyyah – shows taqwa & ubudiyyah  Siyyam – we talked on : o Allah’s Greatness o How Allah made Ramadan easy o Quran which was revealed in Ramadan o Allah gave Ramadan so we have gratitude & magnify & exalt Allah because Allah Guided us o You need to make shukr. 

ُ ‫اِ إِ َذا‬ َ َ‫َوإِ َذا َسأَل‬ ِ ً۬‫ك عِ َبا ًِ۬ َع لنى َِإِ لنى َق ِريبٌ ۖ أ ِجيبُ ًَ۬ ۡع َو َة ٱل ق‬ ُ ‫اَ َِ ۡۡ َي ۡس َت ِجيبُو ْا لِى َو ۡلي ُۡؤ ُِ ُنو ْا ِبى لَ َعۡقهُمۡ َي ۡر‬ َ‫و‬ ۖ ِ ‫ًَ۬ َع‬ َ ًُ۬ َ

Ayat 186 was about doa :

I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright.[] Allah gave Ramadan for us to magnify Him & we will feel grateful with Allah. Allah Wants our hearts to be with Him. So Allah said in Ayat 186 : “ And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near” by His Knowledge , by His Seeing , Hearing Care Companionship . When you feel the closeness of Allah, it is as if you have the whole world. Otherwise, even if we have all the people around us, we feel alone & lonely . When you are with Allah, you feel the companionship of Allah and this is the happiness of lfe. When we are happy with Allah, He will make you love anyone who love Him too. So you will be surrounded with people who love Allah, Subhanahu wa ta’ala, so that we love Allah together & worship Allah together . Whoever ask Allah, He will Respond to that :

ُ َ‫ا‬ ِ ‫اِ إِ َذا ًَ۬ َع‬ ِ ً۬‫ “ أ ِجيبُ ًَ۬ ۡع َو َة ٱل ق‬I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls

on Me” – the Response will come now or later at the time best suited for you. Whatever we want, Allah will Give at best time & way because “ I don’t know & Allah Knows”. Doa is like badah :

ُ ‫لَ َعۡقهُمۡ َي ۡر‬ َ‫و‬ َ ًُ۬ َ

‘so that they may be led aright’ .

TAFSEER AYAT 2 / 187 ُ ُ َِ ‫ص َيام ٱلرق‬ )١٨٧(.... ‫ث إِلَ ٰى ِن َسآ ِٮ ُكمۡ ۚ َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكمۡ َوأَن ُتمۡ لِ َباسٌ لقهَُق‬ ِ ‫أ ِح قل لَڪُمۡ لَ ۡيَۡ َة ٱل ل‬

It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As-Saum (the fasts). They are Lîbas [i.e. body cover, or screen, or Sakan, (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure of living with them - as in Verse 7:189) Tafsir At-Tabarî], for you and you are the same for them. … (187)

Ayat 187 is continuation on Ramadan . Ayat is Rules on Ramadhan . The end of the Ayat :

‫َك َذٲل َِك ُي َبيلَُ ق‬ َ‫و‬ َ ُِ‫اس لَ َعۡقهُمۡ َي قت‬ ِ ‫ٱَّللُ َءا َي ٰـ ِتِِۦ لِۡ قن‬

“ Thus does Allâh make clear His Ayât (proofs,

evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, verses, laws, legal and illegal things Allahs set limits orders.) to mankind that they may become Al- Muttaqun. “. The end refers to At Muttaqun . All the details on Siyyam are all for  All of these (

‫ ) َذٲل َِك‬are used by Allah to make it clear for us to understand His Signs ( Ayat)

– Signs of Allah’s Majesty , Signs of Allah the All Wise & the All Knower, the Signs of His Greatness & Protections . These Signs become clear to us when Allah clarify the fact so that His Attributes becomes so clear . When Allah gives details to some rules about issues in Ramadan, you question why you need to know these details ; but the main issue is about how Allah is clarifying His Signs to the people - so that we humans will have taqwa . َ‫و‬ َ ُِ‫) لَ َعۡقهُمۡ َي قت‬. We will all

َ‫و‬ َ ُِ‫ – َي قت‬guard our hearts and put it in a cage of taqwa. To guard our

hearts, we must guard our actions because Allah is All Watcher over you. Ayat 187 is still about fasting in Ramadan. Initially, when Allahoraidned fasting, some rules were hard. They used to fast from dawn till dusk. They used to have a rule which was abrogated . It used to be that when they break their fast at Maghrib, they would eat , drink & have sexual relations with their wife. But the moment they doze off / sleep that same night , the fast starts again from this point in time . So it can be that they fast for 2 - 3 days with no food, drinks or relations. It was very difficult. The sahabah faced great difficulty . The Tabi’in used to envy the sahabah for seeing the Rasulullah. The Sahabah said so did the Munafiqeen ! So Alhamdulillah Allah send us at the time suiting us best . We cannot wish for what we don’t have because Allah tailors what we have to us. We are not satisfied because we look at what others have. We may have many children and one is very good . Then we wish all our children are very good too but Allah Wills it. The problematic kids may be the one who open the door to Jannah for us because we are constantly making doa for them. Allah’s Hisab / accounting is different than our hisab . The sahabah struggled . We don’t wish to be in that time but we wish to follow the sahabah . But follow the top examples – follow the Rasulullah as our role model. This Ayat gave details about the difficulty in fasting at that time . The Ayat did not mention food specifically but mentioned about sexual relations between the husband & wife in Ramadan. It was very difficult for them in this sense .

ُ َِ ‫ص َيام ٱلرق‬ ۚ ۡ‫ث إِلَ ٰى ن َِسآ ِٮ ُكم‬ ِ ُ‫أ‬ ِ ‫ح قل لَڪُمۡ لَ ۡيَۡ َة ٱل ل‬

“It is made lawful for you to have sexual relations with your wives on the night of As-Saum (the fasts).”

ۡ‫ح قل لَڪُم‬ ِ ُ‫أ‬

It is made lawful for you

This part of the Ayat seems to show that before this Ayat, it was unlawful to have sexual relations with their wives on the night of As-Saum. Allah said

‫أُحِل‬

- that means, before this, it was unlawful to have

sexual relations with their wives on the night of As-Saum. It was lawful – not haram - for them who fast

the whole day to have sexual contact with their wives as soon as they break fast ie at the night of

ۡ‫لَڪُم‬

Also shows Allah’s Care for the people . People will find it very difficult ask about

sexual relations ; but Allah mention this in the Quran.

‫ص َي ِام‬ ‫ لَ ۡيَۡ َة ٱل ل‬Is the whole night of Ramadan from Maghrib till Fajr. ُ َِ ‫ ٱلرق‬to have sexual relations with your wives : here, Allah is addressing the men. ۡ‫ث إِلَ ٰى ن َِسآ ِٮ ُكم‬ ُ َِ ‫ ٱلرق‬includes the following : ‫ث‬ 1. the actual sexual relation between husband & wife . 2. and what are endearing & intimate allowed between husband & wife only (talking, actions, hugging, etc) preceding the relation that leads to the actual sexual relation

No other Books mention these detail. Allah make it so clear so that you do not into the anger of Allah. Refer to

‫َك َذٲل َِك ُي َبيلَُ ق‬ َ‫و‬ َ ُِ‫اس لَ َعۡقهُمۡ َي قت‬ ِ ‫ٱَّللُ َءا َي ٰـ ِتِِۦ لِۡ قن‬

“ Thus does Allâh make clear

His Ayât (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, verses, laws, legal and illegal things Allahs set limits orders.) to mankind that they may become Al- Muttaqun” . And you will do everything

correct .You can find people taking extremes - like only in the mornings of Ramadan will they start intimate talks with their wife ( Danger ! Danger ! … this is when fasting starts ) . The other extreme is zero contact ie not morning, not night for any relations. The words Allah mentioned in this Ayat are very polite & proper words :

ُ َِ ‫ ٱلرق‬is a very proper word . This matter ( sexual issues) can be discussed in very crude ‫ث‬

language . But in the Quran , when discussing these issues , use very proper, refined & respectable words . This is because the Quran is read by all levels of age & maturity ; hence Kalamullah uses appropriate high language to discuss sensitive issues . Humans cannot write this way . Allah talk about this issue , putting everything in its place respectfully , without creating any discomfort in anyone when addressed on this sexual relations topic. Humans may talk about these issues in a way which may lead to haram . Now Allah mention WHY He allows husband-wife sexual contact at night of Ramadan :

‫َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكمۡ َوأَن ُتمۡ لِ َباسٌ لقهَُق‬ They are Lîbas [i.e. body cover, or screen, or Sakan, (i.e. you enjoy the pleasure of living with them - as in Verse 7:189) Tafsir At-Tabarî], for you and you are the same for them.

It is a very difficult to talk about, so Allah Talk (about allowing sexual contact) FIRST in the beginning of the Ayat . Then, he tells why He allows the contact at night of Ramadan. Allah Describe the husbandwife sexual relationship in a very honorable way ; in a way that can raise love, mercy & passion between husband & wife : See how Allah describe husband to wife & wife to husband :

‫َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكمۡ َوأَن ُتمۡ لِ َباسٌ لقهَُق‬ The common word in this sentence is

ٌ‫لِ َباس‬

meaning ‘garrment or a cover’ . ‘Cover’ is attached to the

body . Allah Described the husband-wife relationship showing love, mercy, & passion & respect. Allah Starts with  

‫ َُُق‬referring to the LADY – you are as’ a gown’ for your husband meaning

Your cover his faults He cover your faults

Allah spoke to the MEN that

‘they are a Covering for you ‘

‫ ( ‘ َوأَن ُتمۡ لِ َباسٌ لقهَُق‬as a husband) you are a covering for them’

AND 

ۡ‫َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكم‬

 

So the husband-wife relation is not a competitive relation. Not trying to prove a point, or ‘I know better’ . Husband wife need each other - completing each other A special relation producing a healthy family , hence a healthy society



Equal : Both husband & wife are o

Allah starts with

ٌ‫ لِ َباس‬for each other . ۡ‫‘ َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكم‬they ( the wives) are a Covering for you ‘

- showing

that the husbands need the wives more . The wives ‘are a gown for you’ because the husbands’ needs are more than the wives’ needs - even their desires are more than their wives’ . That is why Allah mention

ُ َِ ‫ٱلرق‬ ۚ ۡ‫ث إِلَ ٰى ِن َسآ ِٮ ُكم‬

to have sexual relations

with your wives that is Allah is referring to the men addressing their need for their

wives are higher & their desires are higher. Allah is addressing how important the ladies ( wives) are to the men ( husbands) Rasulullah said “ nothing can make a man’s mind to go away except a lady “ with her words, with her ways , her softness . She can win him with her softness. She can get what she wants . Rasulullah referred to “ Fitnatun Nisa “ ( the Trials of the lady ) ie a man is more attracted to a woman than a woman is to a man . The women are a fitnah for the men .  Thus the hukm to lower your gaze whether the lady is wearing niqab or not.. And because of the fitnah , thus Allah order the covering ( hijab) for the ladies , not the men. The fitnah is the lady ; that is why advertisement use ladies. And perfumes on women are prohibited because men are greatly affected by them. Ladies are naturally so beautiful. When she is out, the shaitan will beautify her in front of the men .

Allah mention women as gown for men . So once the need arises , men must get married to fulfill his need in the halal way.

ۡ‫ َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكم‬shows Az Zawj / husband cannot live without his wife

This Ayat honors the ladies , giving the rights more to the women.

ۡ‫ َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكم‬Shows men must be good to ladies, take extra care with them because

the Rasulullah said that the ladies are extra fragile . If one wants to straighten her with words, she will break. She hurts easily. So the men need to care for her . How you want her to care for you, you need to care for her. That is why Allah Starts telling men first that o o

ۡ‫َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكم‬

We often advice to ladies to listen to their husbands but we must advice the men to care about the wife too - fulfill her needs, praise her , loving words. Teach this to the children about marriage : to care because

‫َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكمۡ َوأَن ُتمۡ لِ َباسٌ لقهَُق‬

Children learn the love , care & respect from parents. Schools educate the children in too much detail – sexual education – exposing them to too much . This is not the freedom you want . Children exposed to too much can go to wrong direction. They practice wrong & treat women wrongly . Before marriage , they already see and hear too much which are bad for them . They learn immodesty , like animals. People feel children need to be educated but when Allah Says :

‫ َُُق لِ َباسٌ لق ُكمۡ َوأَن ُتمۡ لِ َباسٌ لقهَُق‬then it is really the nature of the men to need women more, so

overexposure destroys the children .

Husband & Wife are Ayatillah - Signs from Allah. You do not need to study him ( to talk, to know, to be with him or even to live on trial as husband & wife !! ) before marriage . Sometimes they have misconception about this , claiming “ I need to know the person first “. They start to send messages but he is not mahram for her. The messages will get more intimate over time. But this will lead to sin. Husband and wife are Ayatillah , so go in normal way : the man look at the lady before he decides he is attracted to her or not . The sahabah used to try to look at a prospective wife from afar or unknown to the lady so she is relaxed . But now people ‘know each other ’ in sinful ways , even to live together before marriage ! Ayatillah allows them to look at each other (with her mahram present) with no other communication till they are official ( engaged). Then they can talk, or meet in a group, with her mahram present. Do not be alone –to preserve/protect the lady. Once the marriage is official, Allah will put love & mercy in their heart. Going to the wrong direction opposes Ayatillah / Signs of Allah. Once married, one who was a stranger yesterday would have love & mercy for the spouse . Their talk, & behaviour towards each other will then feel loving & merciful. This is Signs of Allah , Ayatillah. Love & Mercy is ONLY in Ayatillah .

They Protect each other from outside – from heat, from cold, from any harm like when people talk bad of the spouse . This is to show Shukr Ilallah . They Beautify each other They Cover the Sins & Weaknesses & Mistakes of one another They cannot live without each other They are Attached to each other – very close. No awrah between husband & wife. This is ihsan in the relationship. Inna Allah yuhibbul muhsineen. The relation is noble . The new way loses the nobility in marriage . Movies teaches bad ways in marriage – leaving home if there is a misunderstanding , chasing the spouse out !! , gossiping about each other. Rasulullah said : If a lady asked for divorce with no valid reason, she will not smell Paradise. Husband cannot be perfect – whatever Allah give must be accepted . In Paradise , he will be perfected for you. A wife should not expose her husband’s weaknesses on TV asking the Sheikh what to do; she should tell Allah . This is not the what to reform. She is exposing her husband’s faults – as in divorce courts , or in media . Intimate relations cannot be exposed – even the good or bad ones.
