Beware the notice, if any, in class. Textbook and Overlook The required textbook is Calculus (Seventh Edition) by Larson, Hostetler, and Edwards. We are going to study many topics from Chapter 8 through Chapter 10 (Maybe 11 if time permits). Important topics includes: series, vectors in R2 and R3 , parametric and symmetric equations, different coordinates. Attendance and Office Hours Both are not required. But you should not miss the time for quiz and test. Calculator Policy For tests, NO GRAPHING CALCULATOR!!!!!!!! (Have I put enough exclamation marks?) You may use the regular scientific calculator. Homework After each class I will assign some problems for you to practise. This is an essential part of digesting our materials. So I hope you are taking it serious. Homework will be graded upon completion. Quiz 1

There may be quizzes if time permits. Pay attention to announcements on Mondays. Exams We are going to have 1 midterm and 1 final. Both will be in-class and closed book. The midterm schedule is TBA.

Grading: The grade is weighed from your whole semester’s work: homework+quiz: 10% and your lower test counts 40% while highter one counts 50%. Finally your points will be to the 100-scale and you will be assigned a letter grade. The guideline is like this: Greater or equal Greater or equal Greater or equal Greater or equal Less than 60:
