Catalog Description: MANA 3325 ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND VENTURE MANAGEMENT (3-0) The fundamentals of identifying the need for and organizing a small business. Role and characteristics of the entrepreneur and problems of venture initiation. New venture creation and its management through the first two/three years of operation. Student Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, 1. Students will be able to identify and define terminology within the context of business entrepreneurship. 2. Students will be able to produce an original business concept. 3. Students will be able to analyze and evaluate a basic business plan. 4. Students will be able to identify the major variables determining small business success or failure. Required Textbook: Scarborough, N.M., & Wilson, D. (2011).
