The default settings for Internet Explorer Version 6.0 (IE6) and above do not allow for the automatic acceptance of “session cookies,” which are required for access to several of BMW websites. A simple change in the browser’s Internet Options will resolve any access issues with IE6. Below are detailed screen shots to assist you with changing your browser settings to be able to access all BMW websites error (or login page) free. To start, click on the “Tools” option in the browser navigation bar at the top of any web page, and then select “Internet Options.”
Next, click on the “Privacy” tab.
Click on the “Advanced” button.
Make sure that these 4 items are checked only. The Firstparty and Third-party Cookies items can be optional, but should be clicked if access issues persist.
After these steps are followed click “OK” and then click “OK” again and you are done with adjusting browser settings for comprehensive site access.
