The texts In 'Global Literary Theory'

In phase 1 of the project, Globallit will focus on the texts featured in these bibliographies.

These texts cover the range of ways in which literature has been understood and theorised in their respective literatures. In some cases, they dovetail with other disciplines, such as law and linguistics, but the focus of these texts is always on the uniqueness of the literary artefact and on literary ways of knowing. The intersections among the different traditions they represent - Arabic, Persian, and Turkic - becomes more apparent with every close reading. Open all sections
