Announcement

Thank you, everyone, for your support of the American Heart Association's 2014 Heart Walk! Together as a campus, we raised almost $1000 for this great cause. The heart "decoration station" collected $120 alone! Thank you again for your support!

Pre-K

Our classroom is asking for $5.00 per student for our festival of winter and of Friendship. We wish you Happy Holidays for your entire family. We will see you in the new year.

Kindergarten

In Kindergarten news we are moving along with our learning! In reading, we have been using our reading skills to infer character feelings and reasons for their actions. In math, we are counting forward to 50 and backwards from 20. Continue to practice these counting skills at home.

Fourth Grade We are working on conversions as well as perimeter and area. Please have your child continue to study their multiplication facts at home every night. We are still working on personal narratives in writing: making sure they connect their leads and endings and explode the moment with wonderful details. In reading, we are using text evidence to form main ideas and infer themes. Last, but not least, in science we are studying patterns such as the seasons, shadows, moon phases and tides. Remember to help with homework and other assignments at home to help increase and speed up the progress of your children.

JFE SECURITY SYSTEM

Students may enter the front of the building until 8:05 am at which time the doors leading out of the vestibule into the Commons are locked for the remainder of the school day. Visitors entering the building must come through the front doors into the vestibule and then enter the office through the side door. Once in the office, all visitors go through the Raptor security system. For those who might have never been entered into the system, a driver’s license will be needed in order to print the visitor badge. Badges need to be worn and visible at all times. Visitors are to check out at the front office when leaving the building. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping keep Jack Fields Elementary safe for our staff and students.

Second Grade Second grade teachers send a big thank you to all the parents for the donations for the winter party on December 20th.
