Title I Key Elementary School Parent Involvement Policy

Key Elementary School, in accordance with Title I guidelines, works toward building a strong Home/School partnership. This partnership is crucial to the success of children in school. Parent activities are an important part of the Title I program. Key Elementary School will provide meaningful communication at all grade levels in a timely fashion. Key Elementary School will be receptive to parents’ ideas and concerns. The Parent Advisory Council will provide meaningful activities for parents and children. Parents will be included in the planning and execution of these activities. Key Elementary will use current testing data, benchmark and other assessments to guide strategies for improvement. This data and individual academic progress will be made available to parents. Key Elementary School will provide opportunities for engagement for all parents, regardless of disabilities or English language proficiency. Key Elementary School will not use less than 1% of its Title I allocation for parent involvement activities. This policy will be reviewed at the annual meeting of parents, faculty and staff. This program will be compliant with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
