incent Virga has edited, researched, designed, and captioned over 250 books, many of them by such high profile authors as Leonard Bernstein, Laurence Oliver, Ariel Sharon, and Tammy Wynette. Many of these books have been publishing events in their own right, including, most recently, Bill Clinton’s my life and Hilary Rodham Clinton’s living history. Called “America’s foremost picture editor” by Michael Korda, Vincent Virga has himself authored or coauthored seven major picture books, including the highly regarded landmark eyes of the nation: a visual history of the united states, for which he also created the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM companion disks. He has authored three published novels. His new imprint at Bunker Hill Publishing, Vincent Virga Books, has just published the first in his new series of emerging photographers: George Haas’s forcing nature: the trees of los angeles, which has been acclaimed by aperture magazine and the los angeles times for the beauty of its photographs, its strong social and environmental message, and its innovative design.
