The Duck Town Park and Boardwalk are located in the heart of Duck.

The Town Park is a premier community recreational facility featuring 11 acres of natural beauty including trails through the Maritime Forest and willow swamp, open green space, soundside views, and access to the Town’s Boardwalk. Park amenities include an amphitheater, public kayak/canoe launch, playground, dog-friendly water fountain, picnic shelter, Town green, and gazebo. The Duck Boardwalk can be accessed from the Park and other locations throughout the Town’s Village Commercial District. Please see the map in this section for details. The

Duck Boardwalk allows residents and visitors alike to enjoy the beauty of the Currituck Sound, visit some of our fine retail establishments and restaurants, take in a show, or just relax and enjoy the day. Please remember to enjoy the Town Park and Boardwalk responsibly! PARK AND BOARDWALK OPERATING HOURS: • The Duck Town Park is open from dawn until dusk. • The Duck Boardwalk is open from dawn until 1:00 a.m.

A FEW KEY ITEMS TO REMEMBER FOLLOW: • No bicycles can be ridden in the Town Park, on the park trails, on the piers, and on the boardwalk. (Skateboards, roller blades, and motorized vehicles are also prohibited.) • Pets, on a leash, are allowed in the park and on the boardwalk system. Pet owners are required to clean up after their pets; special receptacles are located within the park and on the boardwalk. • Smoking is prohibited within the Town Park, on the Town Boardwalk and piers, and at all Town facilities and events. • Children under 12 years of age should be under the supervision of an adult. • Crab and fish only in designated areas along the boardwalk. • Watercraft of any type, other than canoes, kayaks, or the like, cannot be launched within the park or tied up to the boardwalk

or any shoreline feature along the boardwalk system. • Watercraft may be tied up at the public pier which is located at the northern end of the boardwalk near the Waterfront Shops. • The Town facilities including the park, park buildings, and the boardwalk system are designed for public passive use and cannot be reserved.
