Abstract Problem Statement: For a training in a process from a wastewater treatment station can act in two ways: 1) emergency data system operating in a virtual simulator operational process;2) controlling failure data with SCADA software installed in a wastewater treatment station. In the first case, we carried out along with several students different emergency scenarios, using data developed real-time graphical views in 2D and possibility of verification / intervention on the solutions obtained by students. In the latter case, how can intervene directly in the process without further opportunities to change depending on the results of which occurred in the SCADA program with completion of the data scenario created irreversible. Purpose of Study :With the SCADA computer perform a real-time control of several parameters simultaneously. It is an open, multicontrol and real time control system. With the simulator computer the students can training or learn courses attendants in choosing the best strategies in a given crisis situation and offers the realistic modeling of a crisis situations over money and quick response time beacon additional costs of operating mistakes. In this article we present a parallel between the exploitation of treatment plants with SCADA control pannel and with training simulator. Methods :1) first, we use a virtual simulator with different scenarios for training the students for operational process; 2) second, we controlling failure data with software installed in the wastewater treatment station and we show how can intervene directly in the process to change the results.

Findings and Results : we showed a gain practical training and professional development of human resources computer using 50-80%. Coursants' training for a real WWTP with SCADA control system is real, and any wrong intervention means supplementary costs for the company. Coursants’ training on WWTP simulator can be addressed by any beginner operators without additional costs. Conclusions and recommendations:The results demonstrate the following aspects: a) operation of the simulator with human resources for the operational processes is much more efficient, requiring supervision by 1 instructor from 6 to 10 students at the same time for several scenarios; b) simulator operating costs are lower than real training which is made directly in the WWTP and the results are much better for training on the simulator than in situ;c) training simulator leads to a modern, efficient training and contributes to the development of specialized human resources using the criterion of quality in computer training. 1. Introduction There are various companies that prepare operators of sewage-treatment stations for both operational processes and equipment operation. In this way, earn money and time in the education / training / human resource development training produced using modern quality. There are many simulators for training. In this paper we present a comparative study between a virtual operational processes simulator and real controlling data system SCADA with software installed. training;  Reduce the cost of training human resources. 3. Sources of evidence Many wastewater treatment plants use the operational training on simulator over 1-2 weeks, during which students can quickly and efficiently accommodate with the practical aspects. Scenarios with emergency situations can be modified to provide virtual data and technical solutions in real time. There are many simulators for the wastewater treatment process such as GPS-X offered Hydromantics, STOAT, Jass, which offers many possibilities for effective training and development of human resources [1]. On the simulator the students can train in choosing the best strategies in a given crisis situations and offers the realistic modelling of a crisis situation without additional costs of operating mistakes [2]. When people are hired without a simulator course before operating, the 41

danger of rookie mistakes is unavoidable. Much more, a beginner who does not know very well the operational process of a wastewater treatment plant, wastes time until he is initiated, that translates into lost time and money for the investor. 4. Main arguments and research methodology The step of research methodology for an operational processes simulator are:  Choosing a schematic diagram of a higher fidelity type of a WWT facility (Figure 1)  Construction and configuration modules based processes and the connections between modules  Specification in addition to the standard configuration of the analysis and optimization modules. They allow the possibility of automatic calibration facility chosen, with the trials set on full set process and set process basic, and other intermediate processes occurring on the flow of treatment plant technology.  Work on multiple workstations, for example 6 users, and then we deal network configuration

 Presenting a case of working with key variables related scheme  Conducting simulation and display the relevant results screen can change variables and display the corresponding results of other.

Figure 2. Simulation results for one stage of WWTP [1]

To use the system, the student selects:type of facility, a lesson that shows the process chosen for installation, so it is then exposed to a theory on this subject ;operator is given when an input screen where key variables can be changed;then, the simulation began, and relevant output screens are shown (Figure 2). With real controlling data system SCADA perform a real-time control of several parameters simultaneously. It is an open, multicontrol and real time control system. The steps are: process flow diagram display; the unit control elements display-they are permanently computer controlled without necessity of changes or connections during the whole process test procedure; simultaneous visualization in the computer of all parameters involved in the process; real time automat and on/off control for pumps, compressors, resistances, control valves, etc.; real time control for parameters involved in the process simultaneously; real time curves representation about system responses; work on single workstation, one user but maybe 6 students which can see the flow diagram. Of preparing for an emergency consists of the following steps: 1) start the process with the main collector water inlet culvert through the pumping station and drive rare grills (Figure 3); after grills, the water passes in desanding and separator of fats (Figure 4); storm water flow changes with rainwater; passing the wastewater bioreactors; monitoring parameters to avoid an emergency; step biological fermentation (anaerobic, anoxic, aerobic); emergency at one of bioreactors (red colour); 42

separation of wastewater sludge; purified water in the station can be discharged directly into the sea on two distinct paths-one direct, one avoided and increased flow of rainwater tank; given that the flow exceeds the permissive or blocking any valve, emergency situation occurs; separate-sludge treatment plant is directed to and here suffers some changes, resulting in dry matter to be raised with cars and stored in dumps and reporting an emergency in treatment plant sludge .

6. Conclusions With any operational processes simulator we have operating errors and will be corrected without additional production costs. When operating directly into the SCADA control system of WWTP technology if we make a mistake, there are additional costs. The unprepared operators for the processes cannot act directly in situ, because they can be trained on simulator [3]. Effective knowledge retention process is better with 50% for operational training on simulator. Costs for training on simulator are lower than the real costs. When WWTP is equipped with the SCADA [4] system the efficiency of the processes is 85%...100 % for human trained resources on simulator. Training simulator leads to a modern, efficient training and contributes to the development of specialized human resources using the criterion of quality in computer training.
