U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS Patti Adair Ahle Sacramento District Budget Officer & Ch, Budget, Manpower & Management

Mrs. Ahle obtained her B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. She then started her federal career as a Department of Army PACE intern, in the field of TRADOC financial management. This two year intern program involved comprehensive training from the U.S. Army Management Engineering Training Activity (AMETA), now called Army Management Engineering College (AMEC), in Rock Island, IL. Types of training received included a five week Defense Work Methods and Standards course, financial management and accounting, as well as operational research and systems (ORSA) training. After Patti completed her internship, she continued on with TRADOC as a Management Analyst/Commercial Activities Analyst. Comprehensive installation studies were completed, including a base closure at Ft. Chaffee, Arkansas, where she was given an installation wide award as team leader for the installation wide Commercial Activities study. Her time at TRADOC provided Patti invaluable tools that she uses to this day. Mrs. Ahle moved to United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) after twelve years in TRADOC. Patti’s eighteen years’ experience in the Corps has included working at the district as well as HQ levels as a Financial Analyst, Management/Program Analyst, Budget Analyst, Budget Officer and Chief of Budget, Manpower & Management. Patti has served on several HQUSACE Resource Management teams and has been privileged to be recognized for her contributions. Everyone is so concerned and diligent about being financially diligent and employing sound principles in financial management. Mrs. Ahle will share examples and ways to avoid an AntiDeficiency Act violation, as well as some common sense tips to pay forward.
