Vector Elastic-Resistance Apparatus for Lower Limb Assessment and Recovery The Vector is an innovative apparatus for Closed Kinetic Chain exercises (CKC), specifically designed to allow lower limbs to perform concentric, eccentric and pliometric work. The Vector unit utilises as resistance a series of elastic bands allowing a fine adjustment of working loads. This enables the patient to pass easily from light loads with low impact on joints, essential in the first stages of rehabilitation, to increasingly heavier loads and jumps, as needed for complete recovery. The possibility to control the acceleration and deceleration steps during the exercise through a pre-definable elastic resistance makes the Vector an excellent training tool for both muscle strengthening exercises, like traditional Leg Press, and pliometric exercises without gravity load. The athlete can perform jumps with controlled loads without any risks of joint or muscle overloads. The patient who performs axial load exercises, can start working early on the injured limb using a pre-set fraction of his body weight to increase the explosive and resisting force and to improve neuromuscular coordination and muscle elasticity.
