Smooth Hydrostatic Steering Advanced hydrostatic power steering is designed to help reduce steering wheel kickback. The hydraulic fluid system, which uses fewer parts and no mechanical linkages, is also designed to deliver smooth, reliable performance.
Positive Control In the steer axle, king pins are supported by self-aligning tapered roller bearings that can help reduce maintenance needs and wear that can lead to steering drift and component damage in other systems. Additionally, a special priority valve helps ensure needed oil flow to the steering pump in order to provide the operator with positive control under lift and tilt operations.

efficient “engine breathing,” which results in low emissions and excellent fuel economy. In addition, a pusher fan is teamed with a square wave radiator to help prevent radiator clogging and to maintain effective engine cooling. A filtered, full flow lubrication system also helps optimize engine protection.

The rubber floor mat helps suppress vibration.
Powershift Transmission The powershift transmission, complete with torque converter, helps make handling easier. It features an inching valve designed to make load positioning smoother and more precise at slower speeds, and it provides on-the-go direction change capability at speeds up to 2.5 mph. For added performance, an accumulator valve helps to ensure smooth power take-up during transmission reversals, for reduced

Good Visibility Visibility is critical to the operation of a forklift truck because visibility promotes productivity. Good visibility is achieved with narrow mast channel flanges, as viewed from the operator’s perspective.

Productivity
hydraulically cushions the transition of the mast when it lowers into the free-lift phase. For reliability, each lift cylinder has an internal drain which helps eliminate the chance of oil leaks associated with an external drain line.
On Triplex masts, the chain and hose routings are concealed behind the mast channels and square fork bars allow for visibility through the carriage.
Easy Engine Access The entire engine compartment is accessible for quick inspection and maintenance. A push-button latch releases the engine cover and seat assembly, which are raised and held in an upright position by a gas-assist spring. In addition, no tools are needed to remove the floor plate.
9
Infinite Tilt-Wheel Positioning With the smooth, gas-operated tilt steering wheel, an operator can choose a preferred comfortable wheel position from over a full five inches of movement. There are no limiting factory presets. In its full forward position, the wheel also allows for easy, unobstructed entry and exit from the truck.
Everything Within Reach Operators can use the standard tray on the engine cover to clip job tickets, pick lists, and other papers, plus there are two storage compartments to hold pens, markers, special tools, and other items. A non-tip beverage holder also helps guard against spills.
Comfort-Stretch Seat Belt Our resilient, comfort-stretch seat belt helps operators turn more easily for reverse travel.
Monitoring Functions Mounted on the steering column, the instrument panel tilts with the wheel. Included are gauges for engine coolant temperature, hour meter, and fuel level; and lights for transmission oil temperature, low brake fluid level, engine oil pressure warning, and alternator charging.
10
Contoured Seat The specially designed operator’s seat delivers comfort and helps reduce fatigue. A molded seat-back lip gives extra leverage to relieve arm and body stress when traveling in a reverse direction. The bottom cushion is bolstered at the sides for thigh support. The supple back cushion provides critical lumbar support over a long day. The two-piece seat design allows change-out of either the seat or back cushion, saving unnecessary and costly replacement of the entire seat assembly. The seat back folds forward by releasing a pring-loaded pin.
