CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Private Practice: April, 1996 to 2000. Private Practice, Sawmill Psychological Services: January 1992 to January 1995. I provided individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy. The Ohio State Couples and Family Therapy Clinic: October 1992 to present. I supervise students in the clinic, both group and individual, and provide individual, couple and family therapy. Whitaker Cuddle Group. January 1989 to July 1990. During my time at Rocky Hill, I joined a supervision group with other symbolic experiential therapists. We met every month, and every other month had a conference call with Carl Whitaker. I presented case material in that group with Dr. Whitaker, and we discussed general issues in therapy, i.e. transference and counter-transference, metaphor, and the person of the therapist.

Town of Rocky Hill Youth Service Bureau. April 1988 to July 1990. I was a part-time psychotherapist at youth services, where I provided individual, couple, family and group therapy. I worked in a small office with one other therapist. We worked with the school system and provided group therapy for self-esteem, and issues around divorced and blended families. Received intensive clinical supervision in individual and family psychotherapy, case administration, treatment planning, and milieu interaction. MayaTech Corporation, 11510 Georgia Avenue, Ste 300, Silver Spring, MD 20902. 9/90 to 12/91: Research Associate. I worked on two projects, Alcohol and Drug Treatment and Family Violence. I worked on the development of instruments, and the designs of the two studies. I also read extensively in both areas. I became the project manager for the Family Violence project and was responsible for completing the document for final delivery. I also coordinated brown bag sessions for the company and was the chairperson of the institutional review board.

Participated in the design, implementation and analysis of numerous investigations ranging from child development studies to gerontological studies, provided data analysis, and consultation; and other clerical assistance. Adult Emotional Reactivity Index Pilot Study. $850 University Seed Grant : A longitudinal study of adolescents and their parents through the individuation process and its relationship to the resolution of identity and intimacy. 15,000 PI: Suzanne Bartle January through December, 1993 Government Contract Proposals: Part of my work at Mayatech included working on sections of proposals for government contracts. I participated in the proposal writing for the Survival Analysis of Alcoholism Clients, for which we were awarded a multi-million dollar contract. Doctoral Fellowship: I was awarded $2500 for my dissertation project and living expenses. My prospectus was selected to be funded from several others in the School of Family Studies, at the University of Connecticut. Master's Thesis research grant: $500.00. I wrote a small grant proposal with my major advisor to fund by master's thesis research.
