Whatʼs Wrong With The World
What is wrong with the world? Iʼm sure this question has been pondered for hundreds of thousands of years. Is it greed, corruption and need for power that is wrong with the world? Is it the fact that many wars have been started by selfishness, racism, ignorance and lack of understanding of humankind? This question could have many answers thatʼs why my answer is that what is wrong with the world is that there is too many things wrong with the world. I have always been a optimistic thinker and I would like to think I still am but itʼs hard not to be perceive as a pessimist when you are talking about the world. If you really stop to think about the world with everything that is wrong with it from wars to major diseases to economic government problems you wouldnʼt even scratch the surface.
In just this decade a whole tribe in Rwanda was almost wiped out by genocide. The United Nations was trying to intervene but went on to say they were also dealing with a lot of other issues that were going on in the world. The French then got involved but what the world did not know was the French were part of what was going on and what was wrong with Rwanda. Thanks to greed government misdirection ignorance and mans pursuits for power the Rwanda people that lived together for many decades turned on one of the tribes and nearly killed off the whole tribe. After hearing this story how could you just pick one leading problem for the cause of deaths in Rwanda. To prove that what's wrong with the world is that we have too many things wrong in the world I want to talk about diseases. In the past twenty years over one thousand diseases have been named and discovered and more will be found. A lot of researchers and doctors are saying they're too overwhelmed and over worked by all the diseases. This causes a big problem where do you put research time and money. Do you try to cure aids, autism, cancer or another major disease, what about the lesser diseases? Do focus on one disease at a time to try to cure it fast or spread out researchers and money to all the diseases in hope of getting lucky. What disease will we give little founding or no founding too because we don't have the money or man power. In return who do we let suffer or die and who do we cure. What's wrong with this picture? What's wrong is we have to many problems that effect the out come of human lives. Even when you want to talk about one topic like diseases it ends up snow balling into a whole bunch of other problems. So if I'm rite and I truly discovered what's wrong with the world how do we fix it? The truth is I don't think we can. The optimist in me would like to think that what
we need to do is take each problem prioritize it and systematically come up with the answers. We all know this answer sounds better on paper then in real life. So where does that leave us? A wise man once told me that man kind needs problems because with out problems we would not have answers and with out answers we would not have purpose. Does this mean we should just live in a world with problems? No this just means we should solve the problems we can and try to under stand the problems we can't. I think life is like a revolving door some times it spins out of control and sometime it spins just the right speed that we can walk through it. I guess what I'm saying is there's always going to be something wrong with the world itʼs what we do about it is that counts.
